Sri Sai Amrit Vani

Sri Sai Amrit Vani
18h May 2006

YOU MAY FORWARD THIS LETTER TO
OTHER SAI DEVOTEES

Jai Sai Ram
Continued on the same pattern of
unusual Leelas of Baba this Thursday also. This
week Baba blessed with unusual Leelas. Last time there
was Honey from Baba's Statue in the mandir in the
house and we attributed it, that some body dear to
Baba has come and that honey was for her. Our guess
was true as Udi started oozing from that Statue since
Wednesday and really somebody dear to Baba had visited
HIM last Thursday. It is our experience that when Udi
starts coming, then honey does not come. On Thursday
morning when Mrs Gupta was doing pooja, maid called
me to come quickly in the mandir, I was watering the
plants at that time. In the mandir Mrs Gupta asked me
to bring a bowl quickly. Honey started oozing from the
small statue of Baba and it was falling on the paper
below it. Baba were placed in the bowl and we took the
honey from the paper. This was again an indication
that this Thursday also somebody dear to Baba is
coming to Baba. Again this was the second time that
honey was oozing from this statue. There were few new
devotees from our yahoogroup from Fremont -
California, Tampa - Florida, Banglore and Delhi -
India. In all there were about 80 devotees who
participated in the Sri Sai Amrit Vani this Thursday.

We were able to see the following
Leelas of Baba on Thursday the 11th May 2006.

1. This Thursday Udi started appearing and oozing from
the photos on the walls and in the mandir from
Wesnesday morning. As usual the words formed with
Udi were again 'RAM' and 'SHAM' 'OM' and Trishool.
2. Udi also started oozing from the big Statue of Baba
in the mandir.
3. When Mrs Gupta was doing her morning pooja on
Thursday, Honey started oozing from the rather small
statue of Baba, also kept in the mandir. Baba were
placed in the bowl and soon Baba was in the pool of
honey.
4. On one photo it was swastic and OM formed with Udi.
5. There was lot of Water from the Charans this week
also. This water was collected in the plate. The
taste of water was similar to gulab jal and kewara.
After Amrit Vani this water was given to the devotees
and again the plate was filled with water.
6. On Thursday as soon as Bhog was offered it was
duly accepted by Baba and when after the Sri Sai
Amrit Vani we noticed that the box was blessed with
Udi and partly eaten and partly remained pieces of
items in the box, which were placed before HIM. Only
small pieces of items were left in the box. Part of
Bhog was also on the lips of many photos and statue of
Baba. These parts of remains in the box were given to
the devotees who offered that item of bhog to Baba.
7. All the boxes of Bhog which were kept on the table
were blessed with Udi, which the devotees collected on
papers.
8. Lap of Mrs Gupta was filled with lots of Udi
during the Sai Amrit Vani. Besides Mrs. Gupta many
devotees also had Udi in their books of Sri Sai Amrit
Vani. Which they also collected on papers.
9. Many devotees felt the presence of Baba during the
recitation of Sai Amrit Vani in different ways. Some
felt Baba walking through them. Some felt that Baba is
also reciting the Sai Amrit Vani along with us all.
Some felt the rings from the temple.
10. The Charnamrit of Baba was also sweet as if some
honey has been mixed into it.
11. The lockets/pandents, Letter and papers placed
before Baba by Mrs Gupta of devotees were blessed
with Udi.
12. Idol and few copies of Sai Satcharitra were
placed before Baba by Mrs Gupta even after the Sri Sai
Amrit Vani were blessed by Baba with Udi within no
time.(Devotee arrived late after the start of Sri Sai
Amrit Vani).

Satsang BABA THE GURU OF GURUS-THE UNIVERSAL GURU

Such a Guru acquires the right to show the path of
freedom to others. Whether he is in the world or outside, he can
also heal the sickness arising from Karmic debts. He can remain
untouched and above, without being involved or reaping the fruits
arising from other's Karmic debts. Such a True Master or Guru
has control over himself and moves freely in the world. When a
potter has completed making his pots, the wheel of the potter still
rotates for some time, but is unable to manufacture pots. For a
liberated soul (Guru) the wheel of life remains in motion, but his
Karma does not create any bondage for him. His actions are
called "Actionless Action".
Such an Universal Guru says :that the fulfilment of knowledge
is wisdom. Knowledge can be imparted but wisdom is to be
gained by self-effort and in the process if body, mind and intellect
keeps cohesion the integration of personality can do wonders.
Over and above the nature and tendencies of individuals, due to
the Poorva-Karma are mostly concealed and not realised or
controlled. They work so confusingly that make many people
difficult to decide as to what is the actual way and what really
good for them and here a Guru's aid is often useful, if not
absolutely necessary.
All should remember that when we love a Guru, we are
not loving his external personality,we are to love his perennial
personality, the Siva-consciousness, which he is trying to instill
into us. That means that we are loving ourselves, the Self is
loving the Self. Instead of attempting to love the entire universe
we should try to love one person properly, because the Atma
is the same in every being. And remember no matter how much
we love, or think. He love our Guru, he loves us much, much
more because he has already learned how to love the Infinite.
He used to try to make us in to his own Guru the "One".
In this contest whether it is metaphysical discussion,
spiritual illumination or moral exhortation Sri Sai Baba of
Shiridi the Guru of Gurus. The Universal Guru lays His finger
unerringly on one thing essential for man; a change in his
behavioural pattern, motivates one to trim his heart lamp of
faith and devotion: burning in the wicks of love,
non-attachment and through the process of which the
flame of knowledge (self-realisation) lit-up for shining
brighter leading to actual enlightenment and emancipation.

Satsang Chapter 26 :Sri_Sai_Sat_Charitra_Concise(Version)

Om Shree Ganeshaya Namah
Om Sai Ram
Chapter 26:::
Pant, Pitale, Ambedkar
"We should wash the Lotus Feet of Baba with our tears of joy,
apply Love the sandal paste, dress Him with truth and faith, offer
eight-folded thoughts as eight lotus flowers, submit the fruit of
single-minded attention, smear Him with aromatic powder of
devotion and adorn His head with the cloth of affection"
- so writes Hemad Panth.
v When Mr. Pant from Bombay came to Shirdi and prostrated
before Baba, he fainted. He was raised by Baba's udhi. Baba told
him to stick firmly to his Guru at any cost.
v Harichandra Pitale came with his wife and son for darshan. The
boy had fits in the presence of Baba and the mother loudly wailed
citing allegories like 'temple falling on the devotee', 'a cow escaping
from tiger only to fell in to hands of a butcher' etc. Baba assured her
that the boy would be well soon and it was proved so. Before their
depature, Baba gave Pitale three rupees and told him to worship them.
He also said that He had earlier given him two rupees. On coming back
home, Pitale was wondering when Baba could have given him two
rupees. His aged mother recalled that when Pital's father took him as
a little boy to Akalkote Maharaj (a famous saint), the saint gave him
two rupees and those two rupees, which were worshipped were later
lost. Pitale was stunned at the omniscience of Baba.
v Having been buffeted by innumerable problems, Ambedkar, a
devotee from Pune came to Shirdi. When he sat on the edge of a well
with the intention to commit suicide, suddenly from the nearby hotel
Mr. Sagun came to him with a biography on Akalkote Maharaj and
asked him to read it. When Ambedkar opened the book at random,
a leela of the saint was found to indicate that once a devotee of
Maharaj unable to bear his physical aliment jumped into a well, but
instantly Maharaj Himself appeared there, pulled him out and advised
that results of past deed sould be atoned and suicide would not
provide relief. Ambedkar was moved by Sai's silent grace in saving
him from suicide. Later he became a successful astrologer and
amassed good wealth.

Jai Sai Ram
Yet again, it was a usual Thursday
with unusual Leela of Baba . Again this week Baba
blessed with Honey from its Statue in the mandir in
the house. This time the honey was from the usual
Statue. It is not possible to guess which leela, Baba
will show us. Last Thursday there was no honey, but
before that honey was there on Thursday, when my
sisters came from Lucknow and Etawaha. This time it
may due to some guest to whom Baba loves, came to
Baba. Dr Gopalakrishnan Nair and Mrs Indira Nair from
Missouri, USA, and Mr and Mrs S K Tripathi from
Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, attended the Sri Sai

Satsang 'Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi -A God!' by Bapatla Hanumanth Rao Garu

I felt that one should not to get annoyed or angry with
those who question us about some thing? Had there been
no such eager seekers, there may not be any Smruties,
Sruties or Puranas. Doubts give scope to pertinent questions.
Why should we be angry with the person for questioning?
Instead let us endeavour to provide a satisfactory reply by
giving factual information about which they are ignorant. It is
better to keep mum and leave the place if we do not prefer to
respond. Let us not lose our temper and peace of mind. We
should not be too concerned with the acceptance or rejection
of our views. It is foolish to imagine that we can attract
everybody by convincing them to our way of thinking. Every
one has a right to have his or her own thought and decision.
Truth will unfold at an appropriate time.

I know that it is an impossible task for a small and insignificant
person like me to detail about Almighty's real nature. Let the
learned pardon me for my audacity. The inspiration to speak
comes from Lord Sai himself. I have full faith that He will get
the mistakes, if any, suitably corrected.
My friend's two questions are:
I. Is Shirdi Sai Baba also a God?
II Are the present Gods not enough?

It is obvious from the questions that my friend is a 'Theist' (One who
believes in the existence God). I am glad about it.

To the second question: "Are the present Gods not enough?"-My
friend seems to be under the impression that as it is there are many
Gods in Hinduism. Probably he refers to the various deities that
are being worshipped by different sects. He may also be vexed
with their antagonisms and quarrels. But one thing is very clear.
He is of the firm opinion that God is there. Let us discuss this
second question first and then delve into the realm of
the first question later.

Satsang Shri Sadguru Sainath Mandir Shiwaji Nagar, Pune-5 (Sai Le ela Magazine April 1977)

Smt. Kashibai knew that Baba used to give some money
to many people. Once she came to the Masjid and said to
Shri Baba, "Baba, you are daily giving Rupees fifty to some people,
to some others you are daily giving Rs. 30. Some people are in
daily receipt of Rs. 25 and Rupees fifteen respectively.
My son Madhav is doing so many of your sundry jobs; but you are
giving only one rupee to him everyday. Why is it so?".

Baba replied, "Kashibai, I know I am giving more money
to some people than what I am giving to your son, but remember
that I am going to stop giving this prasad to others; but your son's
donation will not be stopped. It will continue for ever, I am the
master of widows like you, who have no protector".

Kashibai did not understand the words of Shri Baba properly
and said, "My Master (ifa) died some five years before and I am
a widow since that time".

On listening to these words, Shri Baba got enraged and started
speaking to her in loud tone. Looking at the wrath of Shri Sai Baba,
Kashibai quietly slipped out of the Masjid and went home. She then
stopped going to the Masjid for some time. After two or three days,
however, Shri Baba remembered about her and He sent for her.
Kashibai came to the Masjid along with Madhav. She was quite afraid
to speak to Shri Baba; but Baba spoke to her in mild tone One tooth
of Shri Baba had become loose. Hence he pulled it out and after tying
it in a small rag longwith some Udi, he gave it to Kashibai informing her
to keep hat Talisman with her. Baba told Kashibai further that it would
do her good.

In course of time, Madhav grew up to be a man. He was now
known as Madhavrao. After the death of his mother Kashibai, he left
Shirdi and settled at Niphad. Once he fell seriously ill. During that
sickness, he saw a dream, in which Shri Sai Baba ordered him, "Very
soon a person will come to you and you should give him the Talisman
tied round your arm". Shri Nikam came on the same day to Shri
Madhavrao's house at Niphad.Shri Madhavrao and Shri Nikam had
met each other many times at Shirdi; but just as Madhavrao got a
dream, similar dream was seen by Shri Nikam and hence for fulfilment
of the dream he met Madhavrao. As both the devotees confirmed their
dreams, the Talisman was handed over by Shri Madhavrao to Shri Nikam.
This Talisman was with Shri Nikam for many years and now he has handed
it over to this Mandir, for safe custody. It is now kept below the Padukas
of Shri Sai Baba in this mandir. It is said that the tooth of Shri Buddha is
kept at some places of worship of the Bauddhas, especially the stupas.
It appeares that this temple will have corresponding importance to the Sai
devotees because of this Talisman as the buddhist have for their temples,
containing the tooth of Shri Gautam Buddha.

Satsang 'Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi -A God!' by Bapatla Hanumanth Rao Garu

CHAPTER ONE

In the year 1953,1 had a pleasant encounter one day with
a friend of mine. I requested him to subscribe for a spiritual
magazine, Saileela being published every month from Chirala
(a place in Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh). He
disparagingly remarked: " Is Shirdi Sai Baba also a God? Are
the present Gods not enough? I responded furiously by saying
"Yes - Sai is God - Present Gods are not enough".

The words of my friend hurted my ego. I felt that my
friend belittled My Sai Baba. My friend's strange behavior
compelled me to introspect. After a while I said to myself:
"Why should I be angry with him? I suddenly remembered
the episode of the Bandra boy (Master T)."
Once Sai Baba asked the Bandra boy (Master T) to go
to Bapu Saheb Jog to fetch Dhakshina. (A small amount
of donation as offering to God, Guru or Brahmine etc).
When the boy arrived at Sathewada, Jog and some other
devotees were having discourse on, Dhruva Charitram-
(A book on Dhruva's devotion to Lord Vishnu) and they
indulged in certain critical comments about Saints thus:
"Sadhus (Saints) may sometimes imbibe some powers by
the grace of God; yet they cannot be considered as Gods
or God's incarnations."

Listening to these words, the boy returned to Baba in
a fit of anguish and questioned him: "Baba! Why have you
sent me there? They say that you are not God at all". Baba
replied, "That is the truth; I am a poor fakir (mendicant).
God is great! None can equal Him".

In the meanwhile some devotees arrived and informed
the gathering how Baba had saved their child falling down
from the top of a building. Baba countered: "What else
can I do? Can I be indifferent to my child falling down
except to protect him with my four arms". The Bandra boy,
listening to this, suddenly jumped up and questioned: "Baba,
you have just told that you are not God! Then how could
you have four arms?" Baba did not answer but smiled at
him in affirmation.
This incident flashed to my mind. I felt that it was Baba
who ordained me to approach my friend and it was he who
made my friend to raise certain queries, and thus subjected
me to a test.

To be contd....

Satsang 'Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi -A God!' by Bapatla Hanumanth Rao Garu

The Bhagavadgita once again affirms: (11-53,54)
"Oh! Arjuna! Even those who have performed man sacrifices
to propiate Gods, continue their penance for year: together,
and explore 'Sruties' unceasingly are not fortune enough to
witness, the divine universal form of mine, which you have
seen. It is impossible for any one to see Me except by true
devotion without any worldly thoughts and desires."

Baba imbibed the infinite feeling of love towards all by the
grace of his Guru. When the Absolute Love is Supreme,
Concentration, Meditation - Samadhi States will follow
automatically. That Supreme Love unites with the person
an becomes one with him. Readers may note here that Baba
is the real Love Machine.

Baba once said; "Those who climb the foot steps of this
Masjid will inherit the empire of Love, and it is in this
Dwarakamai Sai dwells. This is the Holy truth".

There is only one answer to the question. "Is Sai Baba
also a God"? He is truly a God. He is God in human form.
He knows everything. It is He who dwells in our hearts,
knows our minds, and directs us. He commands the five
elements. He leads the entire universe according to His will.
We find in Sai selflessness, spirit of service and infinite love.
Sai's love is unparalleled, including the mean and the low.

God who is Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent listens
to all our prayers and protects us like mother. Saibaba is
known as God only and He is the Antaryami in all of us.
He is clearly recognized, by millions of devotees and they
always worship Him.

Saibaba is the modern prophet. One should know Him
perfectly He knows us thoroughly. Those who surrender to
Him with full faith, look to Him for solutions to their problems
and worship Him, will surely be rewarded and their genuine
wishes will always be granted. They will also be spiritually
elevated in their search for the ultimate.

Sai's grace is not confined to persons of any particular
sect caste, religion or nation. Baba wants Nishta (Profound
Faith) in Him and Saburi (Patience coupled with Courage)
on the part of His devotees. These two qualities only make
them eligible to earn His Grace and that Grace is the
life force, the ever lasting force and the effulgent fire that
brightens their lives. This is the only interpretation to God. Sai
answers every devotee and gives solace to everyone who
looks to Him. He is God, Bhagawaan and Allah and has
proved it beyond doubt. It is beyond our intelligence and
knowledge to test Sai's mighty powers and supremacy.

For the people who worship and serve Him, Sainath's,
blessings are always there. I humbly dedicate this book to
all the Sai devotees.

I pray to Sri Sai Baba to bless one and all in this universe.
