Sri Sai Amrit Vani

27th April 2006

Jai Sai Ram
It was a usual Thursday but the
Leelas of Baba were not usual. As usual Udi Started
oozing from the photos on walls from Tuesday the 25th
April and from 26th Udi started appearing from the
photos in the mandir with the usual figures. Udi was
even coming from the Statue of Baba in the mandir. It
was a clear indication that Honey is not likely to
come. But Mrs Gupta got the surprise of the day when
honey started oozing from another little statue of
Baba in the Mandir as soon as she started her morning
pooja. She immediately placed Baba in the bowl and
soon Baba was in the pool of honey. I am appending the
photo of Baba (Baba in the pool of honey). This honey
was given to all the devotees after the Sri Sai Amrit
Vani. My sisters from Lucknow and Etawaha have come to
attend the Sri Sai Amrit Vani.

This time the gathering was of
around 70-75 devotees and were accommodated in the
hall and the adjacent room. Mr V K Bassi, the writer
of Sri Sai Amrit Vani was also present. He wanted to
get blessed a big photo of Baba, which he is taking to
Hardwar for the funcion to be held there. The Photo
was blessed even with the figures of word RAM and OM
written with Udi.

We were able to see the following
Leelas of Baba on Thursday the 27th April 2006.

1. This Thursday Udi started appearing and oozing from
the photos and the statue of Baba from Wesnesday.
As usual the words formed with Udi were again 'RAM'
and 'SHAM' 'OM' and Trishool. Udi started oozing from
the big Statue also from Wednesday.
2. As soon as Mrs Gupta started her morning pooja
honey started oozing from a rather small statue of
Baba in the mandir. It was for the first time that
honey has appeared and oozed from this statue. I am
appending the photo herewith. This photo is also being
put into the photo section of the home page of
Yahoogroup 'mysaibaba20'.
3. There was a lot of Water from the Charans this week
also. This water was collected in the plate. The
taste of water was similar to gulab jal and kewara.
After Amrit Vani this water was given to the devotees
and again the plate was filled with water.
4. Bhog offered in the morning was duly accepted by
Baba and we found the box blessed with Udi and partly
eaten and partly remained pieces of items, which were
placed before HIM. Only small pieces of items were
left in the box. Part of Bhog was also on the lips of
many photos and statue of Baba, which also disappeared
after some time. These parts of remains in the box
were given to the devotees who offtered that item of
bhog to Baba.
5. All the boxes of Bhog which were kept on the table
were blessed with Udi, which the devotees collected on
papers.
6. Lap and head of Mrs Gupta was filled with Udi
during the Sai Amrit Vani. Besides Mrs Gupta many
devotees also had Udi in their books of Sri Sai Amrit
Vani. Which they collected in papers.
7. Many devotees felt the presence of Baba during the
recitation of Sai Amrit Vani in different ways. Some
felt Baba walking through them. Some felt that Baba is
also reciting the Sai Amrit Vani along with us all.
8. The Charnamrit of Baba was also sweet as if some
honey has been mixed into it.
9. The lockets/pandents placed before Baba were
blessed with Udi.
10. Letter received through courier from K. Mani
from Chennai was placed before Baba by Mrs. Gupta, but
there was no Udi on it. Although letters from persons,
who were present here were blessed with Udi in no
time. Perhaps Baba does not approve this and hence
please don't send any letters for Baba by post or by
courier. I repeat, Please don't send any letter to us
for Baba.

Jai Sai Ram

Sri Sai Amrit Vani started exactly at 11:04
AM and Noon Aarti exactly at 12:00 Hrs. followed by

Satsang SHREE SANT KATHAMRUT by Das Ganu Maharaj

Nana folded his hands and prayed, 'Baba, I have some
difficulty in understanding, here. You said the Bramhan is
devoid of pain and it envelopes everything. It is blissful too.
My Mother, you said everything contains this Bramhan. I,
however, find that the world is full of miseries and pain. It is
also infinite. I do not see any properties of Chaitanya in it.
How can a born-blind see beauty? How can Real Chaitanya
live in an illusory thing? If the Soul itself is the life force, then
its unity does not exist at all because there are many souls.
The pleasure and pain of one soul do not affect others. How
can we? Then say that all of them contain the same
Chaitanya? Since the bodies are different I feel that the souls
are also different."

Baba said, Nana, you make a mistake, here. Now listen
to me with full concentration. If we mix red, white, black,
yellow, blue, green, violet and crimson colours separately
with water and keep these mixtures in different glasses, can
the water be different? It gets red colour with red and yellow
with yellow. If we separate the colour from the mixture, the
colour of the water will not be visible again. In the same
manner, after the union of the soul with heart, experience of
miseries and pain are caused. Bodies of the animals are
different but there is no difference in their souls. All of them
have the same soul. Pleasure and pain are the properties of
the heart (body). The body, however, is necessary for the
soul. Understand this, My Child.

Now, I will analyze this topic so that you will understand
it well. My child Narayan, the Chaitanya has three qualities.
They are spiritual (Parmarthic), customary (Vyavaharic) and
illusory (pratibhasic). They are similar to the three states of the
body viz. childhood, youth and old age. The souls who have
reached the state of spiritualism are considered as holymen.
Those who understand the difference between the right and
the wrong and follow" the Shastras are called customary.
Those who consider illusion as the truth are called illusory.
They are covered with nescience, Nana.

Satsang MYSTERY OF BIRTH

20. Here again a man by mere reading, preaching, propagating
or advocating (without himself adhering) gospels of vedanta,
spiritual scriptures hymns and slogans, without the inner voice
and sense (Glow) set firmly for spiritual attainment seriously
and sincerely with all his heart, will not, cannot and shall not
attain Mukti as it would only be a show or imitation, with his
ego and pride for false fame and honour, in the garb of a saint or
philosopher by dress and talk.

21. The saints or sages in jungles or in Himalayan mountain caves,
who do tapas or meditation, do not know or like to know the
mundane world. They never go out for any preaching or
propagating the God-cult. They strive and strain to solve their own
problems of attaining Moksha - as the proverb goes charity begins
at home-each man for himself and no man for any man. But since
the saint or the sage is a pure and holy man, while his prayers are
for himself, they are for all too, since his is a selfless service and
sacrifice, without any show, egoism or worldly false fame or notion.
Since, such a change in the mind will only scumble, tumble and
perish one's own progress towards attaining Moksha or Mukti,
he is away from it.

22. The illustration given below will explain a man's lust, craze and
greed for power, pomp and prosperity and material glory, which
are all unreal and transitory illusions as a mirage in a sandy
scorching desert, as compared and equated to the action of a
man as said hereunder.

23. A frog interested and concentrated in its attention on its prey
in front of it, is unaware of the fate awaiting ahead of it, where a
snake concentrating in swallowing the frog is closely following,
crawling at its back. The snake in its turn is ignorant of its fate
ahead, while a vulture or a kite howering over in the sky is
closely following the snake. The bird concentrated in carrying
away the snake, is ignorant of its fate ahead while a hunter,
down below, with his arrow set at the bird is waiting to shoot it
down, and this hunter in his turn is ignorant of the fate ahead of
him, where a snake under the grass is crawling across to bite
him. The hunter lets his arrow out and hits the kite which falls
dead, at the same time the hunter, bitten by the snake, falls
dead to the ground. Thus neither the kite nor the hunter survive
in this chain as the destiny rules. It is interesting to note here that
each one did not know- its own fate but was only anxious to
attain its object, meet its own, end foolishly, blindly and ignorantly
trying to conquer for its individual benefit, least realising where
how and when its end comes.

Satsang SHREE SANT KATHAMRUT by Das Ganu Maharaj

All of them sat in the mosque and were as glad as the
children are to see their mother. Chandorkar folded his hands
in reverance and said, "I asked you a question. Baba: but you
did not answer it then. Please tell me why you are annoyed
with us and then, explain to us who the God is and where He
lives.

Maharaj said. "Nana, anger does not stay in my heart. You

are all my children. Whom do I get angry with? Of course, you
have the right to show the false anger with me. Had Shri.Venkusa
been around, I would also have had shown this kind of false anger
expressed to him. Anyway. I have given two discourses to you
earlier. You must remember the advice therein and listen to me.
If you assimilate the knowledge I have given you earlier, it will
equip you with four instruments. When a devotee is equipped thus,

then only, the knowledge of Bramhan is related to him for self
realization. The ways followed to procure the desired are known
as the instruments here. Concentrate on my speech. I will relate
those four instruments to you. Remember the subject is very deep.

The first one is the proper understanding of the real and the

unreal. This is called Vivek, the reasoning. Second is Vairagya
the asceticism. The third is the group of six consisting of Shama,
Dama etc. The fourth is the desire for Absolution.

Listen to the definition of Reasoning. This deals with the

permanent and temporary things. One must have realized that the
world is an illusion and Bramhan is the truth. A lot of pure
Chaitanya. The visible world is simply, an illusion. Oh Narayan,
one cannot believe in it but one experiences its existence. There
is no place in this universe devoid of this Chaitanya. One cannot
find a single thing devoid of this. My son! It does not have any
colour or form. Do not forget this, this is called Bramhan. It is

worshipped by Gnanies who are called the realized ones in this
world. The Chaitanya contains millions and millions of animals,
plants and insects. It is the prime cause for the very existence
of the universe and the shapes of these life forms. The
Chaitanya envelopes everything. It is without pain. It is truth,
knowledge and bliss embodied. We are also not different from it.'

Satsang MYSTERY OF BIRTH

16. History repeats itself. Great men come and go. Their
greatness is inscribed on their epitaphs - none to read - men
who conquered the world materially for pomp and power
and there is none among them who conquered HIM - the
Almighty. But those saints, sages and seers with no pomp
or power, left behind them, the Vedic rituals, philosophy
religious and scientific teaching for people, to attain Moksha,
Mukti or salvation to spread in the world are remembered.
A sacred task, for man's salvation is performed by them for
which we have to express gratitude, feel grateful and bow
to such seers in reverence.
17. Should every one observe or follow this path or principle?
This world will not be as wicked as existing. That depends on
them - as a test by the Creator - of course all cannot acquire
and pass as in the School examination - some fail and some
pass.

18. But should a man with moral binding, integrity and mental
firmness seek this path of dedication, devotion, meditation
and surrender to the Almighty, atleast, sooner or later after
his Gnhasthasrram, in this mundane world, after attaining
maturity of mind and body by gaining worldly experience in
this material life, there is the chance to get the status, power
and sense of realisation, provided his change towards
salvation is firm, realising and repenting for his past actions,
when the Almighty will certainly pardon and give him
remission as in the imprisonment to a prisoner with a view,
henceforth to purify him, from further misdeeds or sins, from
this mundane world and thus grant him salvation, Mukti or
Moksha.

19. Who on earth can say that a drop of Dhathu Bhindu
will make or mar a man's career? It all depends on his
past karma and accident of birth. It lies in him to make the
best of himself with his discriminary and discreteful powers
endowed to him and brought into the world - and as such
he is not to get lost in the dark woods of the world,
forgetting the very object and the purpose he has to fulfil.
He should therefore strive, strain, exert every nerve to
attain Moksham, Mukti or Salvation or God realisation.

Translated and presented by RAGHU RAMAN SATULURY. 18-05-1994I came across swamijis engaged in collecting money in the name of SAIto make personal gains. I prayed Baba to tell me more about them.Sai appeared in the form of an unknown person and casually said – There is no wonder in this. Still bigger wonder is that people canindulge in swindling money from their hapless kith and kin, with utterdisregard for love and affections. It is your mistake to waste valuable time and energies on such futilematters.Where money rules, love and affections take the back seat.23-05-1994Yesterday, some Sai devotees visited my house. They questioned me alot on SAI. I told them what all I knew. Before going to bed, I askedBaba to tell me as to how I should conduct myself while talking on Saiphilosophy.Sai appeared in the form of an unknown person and said – Before embarking on to open others door of knowledge, first you openyour own door.It was a shop engaged in manufacturing aluminum glasses. I wasemployed in the manufacturing of Aluminum tumblers. Because I was notmaking the right type of joints, water was leaking. They were of nouse, as water could not be served in them to the thirsty passersby. The shop owner (SAI) called me and said -"Although you are in the linefor so many past lives, still you have not mastered the art of makingthe tumblers and hence unable to quench the thirst of the people. Atleast in this life succeed in making the proper ones and serve the cause".I realized that I should first absorb SAI Thathva thoroughly beforepreaching to others.Practice leads to perfection in any field.26-05-1994I was thinking about Sai and a thought ran through my mind whether Saiknows so many languages as people from all regions and walks of lifevisit HIM in Shiridi.I could hear a melodious voice telling me as- One may speak in any language, I can understand from the depth oftheir feelings and reach them.Language is no barrier for devotion to Sai.To be continued…..-------------------------------------4. QUINTESSENCE OF SRI SAIBABA'S PHILOSOPHY: (By Late Sri Bharam UmamaheswaraRao)"Shashi": shashi_31@yahoo.com23. Human Body is DharmakshetraWe must know that the human body is `Dharmakshetra'. Sorrows help usto analyze their root causes and help us to understand the state ofaffairs of this world. This is why Sai Baba is giving us one hardshipafter another. If we patiently bear with them, we will get wisdom. This helps us to understand other's problems and miseries withsympathy. Pleasures and miseries of this body is effect of PrarabdhaKarma. So we must practice to tolerate all our problems with patience.Such tolerance alone qualifies for Divinity. We must tolerate thepleasures and pains caused to our Sthula and Suksma bodies byPrabradha Karma but keep them in our mind only. We should not mentallybe perturbed for such miseries. We must be still and also keep it athigher plane of equanimity. We should not think about the worldlyaffairs and get our mind disturbed. We must first of all know the root cause of our Janma and then only weknow our true self. If we understood this, the egoism in usevaporates, sins will be rooted out and self – realization will beattained. Then we can get Ananda. We must lead our life in anexemplary way shining with spirituality. Thus human body has been bestowed upon only for God Realization. Sogiven an opportunity even to the vilest sinner to attain Him byestablishing himself in Him, even at the time of death.Baba says: " One who knows His integral Being, comprising Adhibhuta,Brahma and unmanifest Divinity even at the time of death reaches Him.Who departs from the body, thinking of Him alone, even at the time ofdeath, attains Him and there is no doubt about it. So even at the time of death if we utter the name of Sri Sai Baba, wewill attain Brahma Sthiti. A little practice of chanting Baba's namealways, protects us from great fear of birth and death. Attachment toworldly matters is the only obstacle to attainment of this state. To be continued…..-----------------------------5. SANATANA DHARMA & SRI SHIRDI SAIBABAAKHILANDAKOTI , BRAHMANDA NAAYAKA, RAAJAADHI RAAJA, YOGIRAJA,PARABRAHMA SREE SATCHITANANDA ,SAMARDHASADGURU, SAINATH MAHARAAJ KI JAI"From the Satsanghs of Saibanisa jiSai through Reincarnations Life after death: The soul after leaving the physical body crosses a rivulet. It then reached the top most of the four minarets of a fortress, situated on the top of a hill on the other bank of the river. All this happens due to the grace of Guru. The soul now has to traverse alone up in to the sky. If the thoughts and desires are unfulfilled, the soul looks down and comes down to Earth. It then starts searching for another bodily form to take on a new life. Few of those who manage to take a second step in the upward direction, again, due to the grace of Guru, reach the Lord. Some of the incidents concerning the case of those souls that could not take the second lead step and were reborn are reproduced below. (1)Deeply attached to the grandson: An aged man was deeply attached to his grandson who had justcompleted his studies in Medicine. At the time of his death, the oldman desired that his grandson should spend all his wealth inconstructing a Hospital in service of the poor. The grandsonaccordingly constructed a big Hospital and forgot totally about hisgrandfather. After a lapse of ten years, while the Doctor was takingrounds in the Hospital during nights, he saw a ward boy aged about tenyears, uttering the following words in sleep: "My grandson shouldconstruct a Hospital and I must see it". The Doctor recalled thatthese were in fact the words of his grandfather uttered at the time ofhis death. He once again remembered his grandfather. SAIBANISA OFFERS PRANAMS TO "LORD SIVA"SRI NAGANATH – (Guj)Aunda Nagnath JyotilingPurana of Aunda Nagnath templePandavas came here during their Vanvas (life in forests) build ahermitage for themselves. Their cows used to go to the same river bankto drink water. After drinking water, milk used to automatically flowinto the river as if the cows were offering to the river. One dayBhima saw this miraculous event. He promptly told Dharmaraja about thesame. Then Dharmaraja said, "Surely, some great God must be living inthis river". Then the Pandavas started removing the water from theriver. The middle part of the river was so hot that the water therewas boiling.Bheema lifted his mace attacked the river thrice. The water gave wayinstantly. At the very moment, instead, blood started oozing like aspring. Lord Shankara's Linga could be seen as the JyotirLinga. On the west coast in an area of 16 Yojanas Daruka and Daruk need tolive. The hermits were tired of being harassed by Daruk, and others. So they went and sought refuge with Orvamuni, who in turn cursed theDemons that they would be destroyed. The Devas launched an attack onthe Demons. Now, the Demons began to worry. Daruka, who received somespecial boons from Parvati, lifted the entire forest, took it away onthe path of the sky and put it in the middle of the sea. Only then, did the Demons relax and continue to live there. They used to go byboats and capture the hermits and imprison them the island. Once, there was a Shiva devotee by the name Supriya who was among theprisoners. He never ate food or drank water without worshipping Shiva. He continued to do Puja even while in prison. When the guards informed their chief about his, he ordered thatSupriya be put to death. Then Supriya prayed to Lord Shankara for hislife. The Lord appeared before him immediately and destroyed theentire group of demons including their families. On the other land,Parvati here granted a boon to Daruka. As a result, at the end of thatera, only Demons would be created and she would rule Daruka. LordShiva accepted this. Then Shiva and Parvati stayed there. Shiva onceagain assumed the form of JyotirLinga, with the name Nageshwar andParvati was known as Nageshwari.Specialties of Naganath TempleThe architectural beauty of the Nagesh Temple is simply exquisite. This temple built with stones during the Pandava period is strong. Thefour walls of the temple are very strong and the corridors are large. The court hall is supported by eight pillars. It is oval shaped. Boththis and the Nagesha Lingamurthy is located in the small internalGarbhagriha. Here, there is no Nandi idol in front of Mahadeva. There is separateNandikeshwara temple back of the main temple. On all the four sides ofthe main temple, smaller temples for the twelve JyotirLingas areconstructed. Apart from these, VedavyasaLinga, bhandareshwar,Nilakanteshwar, Ganapati, Dattatreya, Muralimanohar, Dasavatar templeand idols etc., are there. In all, there are 108 Shiva temples and 68shrines are located here. The structure of the Naganath temple is very beautiful. Inside it,there is another shrine called Runamochan teerth. Both these shrinesare called "Mother-in-law- Daughter-in-law" shrines. Every 12 years,at the time of Kapila Shashti, kashi Ganga offering as "Padarpan" isperformed. During this the water in the teerth kund looks crystalclear. Again at a specific time it becomes `Shivala Yukt".To be continued--------------------------------------7. DEVOTEES EXPERIENCES: tauras_2cool@yahoo.com4/19/2006 08:00:23 -0600SaiRam! Since I was 10 yrs old I am a believer of Sai Babaji. He has alwaysshown me the path whenever I feel lost. Last year I went to Rajasthanon a vacation...before leaving I prayed to Babaji to reach thedestination before me. We reached there in the afternoon, and in theevening we went for site seeing...while coming back I saw a bigportrait of Babaji, that too in a place where no body goes. I couldnot believe my eyes. He had actually answered my prayers. I am happy to inform that today I experienced Sai's miracle. I havealways been blessed child of Sai. Dear Saibanisaji you are trulyblessed. Yesterday I have read many of your letters and especiallyyour saying that Sai normally appear in our dream duringbrahmimuhurtam attracted my attention. Baba appeared in my dream manytime during that period. Today on Thursday I had ream in which I sawastalakshmi's appear in my pooja room. My mother called me since I wassleeping. Suddenly as soon as I entered pooja room (all in my dream) Isaw beeja akhara's appearing in Sai's photo. After waking up I told the same to my husband though he believes Sai,he said may be these are your illusions since you think lot about Sai.I said it is not possible, my dreams are true. Then we did pada pojjato Sai. the my husband said if everything is true today Baba shouldappear before us in person and tell us something I said Baba willdefinitely appear. I have a beautiful white Idol of Sai. It isKamadhenuvu to us. Whenever I ask some wish and put flower on it. Mywish is sanctioned. Until I ask something the flower won't stand onthe idol. Today I asked Baba's darshan to us.We were on the way to office. Then suddenly a black American ladywalked beside us. She seemed lost in trance didn't care of herdressing. She wore her bag in very weird manner. I got scared seeingher and thought in my mind I shouldn't see her lest she will talk tome. I walked very fast. But the lady (she is in fact our loved BabaHimself) called me even then I didn't turn back. But she kept callingmiss have a look. Then I stopped before her. My husband is in shock. She asked what job you are doing I said I am a programmer in medicinestaff. She saw my id. She said don't wear the black sweater you arewearing always wear blue one. You will get long term job in market youwill progress in your carrier. I said thanks to her many times. Shedidn't care and walked away.My husband was shocked with surprise and said indeed Baba answers ourcall as soon as we seek him. Dear friends this is the love of our Sai.Just have faith in Him and He will be with us always.Dear members of Saidarbar web site http://www.saidarbar.org isblessed with Sai's love and power. Thank you very muchBhargavi KumarUSA------------------------------------------------------8. SPIRITUAL GEMS FROM SAI SATCHARITRAswamymain@yahoo.com4/23/2006 14:49:18 -0700Sai Ram. After the preliminary introduction, the main topic of thechapter, Isa Upanishad is taken up and how Sadguru removes theobstacles in one's spiritual sadhana is shown. Sai Ram."Das Ganu once started to write a Marathi commentary on the IshavasyaUpanishad. Let us first give a brief idea of this Upanishad, beforeproceeding further. It is called a `Mantropanishad', as it is embodiedin the Mantras of the Vedic Samhita. It constitutes the last or the40th Chapter of the Vajasaneyi Samhita (Yajurveda) and it is,therefore, called Vajasaneyi Samhitopanishad. Being embodied in VedicSamhitas, this is regarded as superior to all other Upanishads, whichoccur in the Brahmanas and Aranyakas (explanatory treatises on Martrasand rituals). Not only this, other Upanishads are considered to becommentaries on the truths mentioned briefly in theIshavasya Upanishad. For instance, the biggest of the Upanishads, viz,the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, is considered by Pandit Satwalekar to bea running commentary on the Ishavasya Upanishad." Sai Ram. Strictly speaking, no God is superior to another God and similarly noUpanishad is superior to another, since all are expressions of thesame Truth. Karma, Jnana or Bhakti, in fact, any path will lead us toour final destination of realizing our true nature. However, realJnana cannot take root in one's mind unless the mind is pure. Purityof mind is achieved through performing of good karma and avoidance ofbad karma. Bhakti helps us to seek the divine grace which is alwayspresent but will manifest when we are ready. Once the fire of Jnana islit and is burning steadily, all Vasanas of the mind are burnt. So,Karma and Jnana are equally effective in self-realization. Sai Ram."Professor R.D. Ranade says: - "The Ishopanishad is quite a smallUpanishad; and yet it contains many hints which show anextraordinarily piercing insight. Within the short compass of 18verses, it gives a valuable mystical description of the Atman, adescription of the ideal sage, who stands unruffled in the minds oftemptations and sorrows; and adumbration of the doctrine of Karma-Yogaas later formulated, and finally a reconciliation of the claims ofknowledge and works. The most valuable ideas that lies at the root ofthe Upanishad is that of a logical synthesis between the two oppositesof knowledge; and work, which are both required according to theUpanishad to be annulled in a higher synthesis". (page 24 of theConstructive Survey of the Upanishad Philosophy). In another place hesays that "The poetry of the Ishopanishad is a Commixture of moral, mystical and metaphysical (ibid, Page 41)"."We will continue with the gems in the next issue. SAI WITH CHILDREN: http://www.saidarbar.org/HTML/portraits/7.jpgSmt. Madhu Gopal Ravada, Saidarbar, Hyderabad.Hello Children! I am Madhu aunty. Do you know Baba use to play withchildren and used to tell stories to them? I felt children visitingSaidarbar should be entertained with good stories. For the last 2years I have told you about Lord Krishna's Leelas and Lord Rama Story. Now I want to tell the stories what heard in my child hood. The Broken PotA water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the ends of apole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack init, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a fullportion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the crackedpot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water tohis house.Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfectfor which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its ownimperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only halfof what it had been made to do.After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoketo the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. I have been able to deliver only halfmy load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all theway back to your house. Because of my flaws, you have to do a lot ofthis work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said. The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowersonly on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That'sbecause I have always known about your flaw, and I planted flowerseeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers todecorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, therewould not be this beauty to grace the house."The Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all crackedpots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our livestogether so very interesting and rewarding.-----------------------------------------------10. ARTICLES FROM SAI DEVOTEES:Venkata Subba Rao Lanka lvsrao2004@yahoo.co.uk4/20/2006 19:20:31 +0100QUEST FOR LIBERATIONHuman beings face conflicts of various kinds in their lives, however, the real challenge lies within the being. Caught in the vortex ofmundane materialism many are unable to pursue spiritual life, whichalone can help one to escape the cycle of re-births. Just as a captainis necessary for a ship to chart a safe trip for its passengers, it isimportant to have a preceptor who can guide spiritual seekers torealize the spiritual goal successfully. One must surrender to SADGURU with a clean slate, having no idea ofown, so that the GURU shall chalk-out a plan and mould the being intoa spiritual genius. The disciple must stand by the GURU always withunswerving faith and devotion and carry out the Guru's instructions,to the very word. When there is keen desire to surrender all theindividuality at the LOTUS FEET of GURU, HE (GURU) comes forwardedwith HIS practical instructions. Satsang Inspirational story of the day

Submitted by Makarand Palamwar ji
One day a monk left his ashram and went out to the main street
of the city jiggling a few copper coins in the palm of his hand. As
the beggars thronged around him, he announced that he would
only give the coins to the poorest man in the city. As the
demanding hands pressed him from all sides, he kept saying,
No, it is not you;not you,not you, and he continued walking.
Suddenly the fanfare of trumpets obscured the noise of the city.
Guards hurried down the street to clear away the riff-raff, and
proclaimed that the Maharaja was coming out of his palace on
his royal elephant.
The people lined the street with eager anticipation to make their
obeisance to their king, but the monk stepped in front of the
elephant, and, addressing the king in a loud voice, said,
"O Great Maharaj! I have something for you." And he tossed
the copper coins to the king. The king was astounded and
demanded to know why the monk was being so impertinent."
Your majesty, I made a vow that today I would give this copper
coin to the poorest man in the city."
Me!, screamed the king. I own this city! I own this whole
country! How can you say that I am the poorest man?

Because you have constant hunger for more possessions.

SPIRITUAL COMMENTARY

This is the snare of maya, the cosmic delusion: the more we
feel separated from God, the more we try to fill our life with
possessions, which further deepens our spiritual emptiness.
This constant rush to acquire more things, more sensations,
more people, and more thoughts turns us from divine children
to bestial paupers. "Poverty," as Plato said, consists, not in
the decrease of one's possessions, but in the increase of one's
greed. The solution is to embrace the simple life of inner
renunciation. Be content with whatever we experience. If God
blesses us with much abundance and opportunities ; good.
If God sends us Poverty good. When we have learned how to
keep the mind equally free from attachment or aversion, we
have gained the real wealth of this world.

Satsang Thought for the day

A Brahmin, when rebuked by his wife to earn something for
the livelihood, finally decided to go to the city and try his luck.
Since there was a fight between the husband and wife, the brahmin,
left immediatly, in the night and reached the river. As he knew, the
boat man will come in the morning, he waited at the bank of the
river, for the sun to rise. In the dark, he touched a heap of pebbles.
To kill time, he took a pebble and threw it into the river, enjoyed
the splash, and picked up another pebble. And whole night he
threw pebbles into the river and killed his time, waiting for
the boatman.
The sun rose, and the golden rays touched the again-virgin earth.

The Brahmin was about the throw the last pebble into the river,
when the Sun spread its light as if Mother Gayatri would have
removed the darkness of mind and filled it with the bright light of
Knowledge and wisdom. He suddenly saw, the pebbles, which he
was throwing into the river, were actually priceless diamonds.
He saw the last diamond in his hand and wept," Oh ! foolish me!
I threw all the diamonds in the river, i could have been more
patient, at least could have waited for the Sunrise.
We are all like that Brahmin, wasting the diamonds in the river

in the darkness. The moments, we are wasting in killing time,
are precious moments of our life,a breath of which could
change our life and bring us into richness of life, but ignorantly
we are wasting them.
At least, we can grasp the last diamond !!
And this is the moment!!

Satsang Chapter 24 :Sri_Sai_Sat_Charitra_Concise(Version)

Om Shree Ganeshaya Namah
Om Sai Ram
Chapter 24:::
Baba and humour

We will not succeed in our endeavors unless we surrender our
ego at the lotus feet of our Guru. We get comfort in this life and
after by worshipping Sai.
* Once when Hemad Panth was massaging the feet of Baba, He
showed some grains in the folds of his coat and said playfully
that he was in the habit of eating edibles alone. ( Hemad Panth
feels that it would not have been impossible for Baba to have
materialized the grains). Hemad Panth vigorously denied Baba's
charge. Baba immediately remarked that if no one was around
when one ate one should remember Baba. The import of the
advice was that we cannot control the demand of the senses.
But if we submit them first to Baba, He will remove the evil
tendencies. Hemand Panth narrates, incidentally, how Sudama
(Kuchla) ate groundnuts along without offering to Lord Krishna
and in his later years became extremely poor.
* Once a very old lady named Mavisi Bai and elder devotee called
Anna Cinsanikar were massaging together Baba's back and
hands respectively and Baba was moving His body left and right.
In this process, at one point the face of Anna came very near the
old lady and she lightly commented 'Oh ! This Anna wants to
kiss me'. An outraged Anna started a vigorous quarrel. Baba
said sweetly, 'Anna ! What wrong a child does in kissing its
mother?' and all beautiful peaceful.
* This lady was once massaging Baba's stomach vigorously and
some devotees cried to her that such action would hurt Baba.
Immediately an angry Baba got up, fixed one end of HIS chatka
in HIS navel and the other end on the pillar and started violently
embracing the pillar with both hands. It appeared that the stick
would pierce His stomach and entirely get in to Him. Then He
became peaceful. Baba appeared to indicate that nothing can
hurt Him and also to advice that one should not interfere in the
service of the other devotee to Him.

Satsang Bhakta Leela Amrut by Das Ganu Maharaj

So saying Baba placed his hand over Chandorkar's head.
I pray to Sai Maharaj. Chandorkar folded his hands and
bent down at Baba's feet politely and said. "Oh Lord of the
Universe. Oh Merciful. Oh my father and mother, you are
my sail boat to cross the ocean of obstruction to absolution.
You have taken us to the other side of this ocean by giving
the Divine Knowledge to us - the ignorant ones. Please
shower your grace upon us. Baba assured them, "You are
all my devotees. You need not worry-. I always remember you.

The Lord will give you a pleasant abode. He will fullfil all
your desires very fondly. Remember, these are My Words.'

Oh Seeta Bedre. know the greatness of Baba. Come along
for Baba's darshan. We shall bow down at his feet. Though
we are not worthy, even, of his devotee's torn shoes, Baba,
the Mother of the orphans (spiritually) will save us. Baba's
devotees.

Chandorkar, Haripant and others have gathered today. Baba
has arranged a feast for them. Knowledge, devotion and
desirelessness are the dishes he has offered them and he is
asking them to have as much as they want. Baba tells his
devotees to take whatever they can digest. Let us stand at
his door like dogs. Oh, Seeta Bedre! He will throw us
a piece. That piece will be sufficient to satisfy ourselves.
Rush there Oh Sita! We may not get such a golden
opportunity again. Oh readers, you will get the credit of
performing one hundred Ashwamedh Yajnas by simply
reading this chapter only once.

These three chapters on Sai are like the confluence of the
Ganga, Yamuna and the Saraswati in prayag. Take a dip
into it says Ganu.

This Shri.Bhakta Leelamrut is narrated truthfully as per
my intellegence.
Let this save the devotees. This is Das Ganu's prayer.

Satsang MYSTERY OF BIRTH

9. The Supreme Power - the universal Divine Power - God
has not made the human being only from the sexual mating or
by congugal bliss, but has also made several millions of creatures
on the earth, in different ways even under water and air by His
Supreme power of creation, with conditions suited to their areas.

10. Now it should be accepted without dispute, by common

sense that God is above man. It may be noted here, as you all
know, that a frog lives within a solid rock - how it breathes -
where is the air, water and food for this creature - particularly
a creature mostly inclined to live in water. Can man make such
creations? Is it possible for our revered and learned scientists
to do such things? No - it is impossible. Apart from such living
creatures, there are forests, vegetation, plants, food products

for human beings and other creatures to exist, in addition to
water, air and heat the necessities without which no living
being can or will survive. If it is not God - the Omnipotent,
the Omnipresent -who can do these miracles?

11. Here lies the hidden Secret - the mystery - the miracle of

man's birth, which we should ponder over, since this cannot
be realised, known or revealed by any one. It is only here
that one should realise the existence of God - the Unseen
Power. It is sheer accident of birth ordained by the Lord
according to one's past Karma that we are born in different
environments, society and status and as such are we not bound

to be indebted, to be grateful to realise and repay our gratitude
to that Almighty - God - Omnipotent and Omnipresent The
Brahman? Should we not therefore struggle, strain, exert and
endeavour to get back to HIM our father - from where we
came humans endowed with sense organs, with discretionary
powers, as loyal and dutiful children of God the Universal
Father?

12. The Law of evolution and revolution is a fundamental

principle in anything and everything. Any object, creature
or man that moves from one particular place, should in the
natural routine course go back, rejoin, or reach the starting
point or place. That is the law of nature. To quote a simple
example - a man goes out on work from his house, a bird from
its nest, a beast or an animal from its dwelling place for food
etc. will naturally return to its dwelling place by night. Even
the planets, the Sun, Moon and Stars appear according to
their set times disappear and reappear. Similarly in our birth,
we came from Brahman and we should go to HIM. Unless
and until one knows and realises this theory he cannot
understand the purpose of his existence or the goal of his

life and birth-

Satsang Bhakta Leela Amrut by Das Ganu Maharaj

I have explained these four states to you. You must think over this.
Everything, living and non-living, is a form of the Lord. There is nothing
without Him. He is everywhere. Everything is filled with Him. Due to the
Illusion (Maya), we cannot understand his existence. You, Madhav, Maruti,
Pandharinath, Mhalasapati, Kashinath, Adkar,Haripant, Sathe, Tatya, Ganesh
Beray, Venu, Bhalchandra and I are the parts of the Lord. Therefore, no one
should hate anyone. One should not 'forget that the Lord is present in
even.' person. Knowing this, a person reaches the state of being devoid of
enmity. At this state, everything follows automatically. The human mind,
then, is unrestrained. One must try to stabilize it.

A fly sits on everything but when it sees fire, it moves away from its
direction. Similarly, the human mind is delighted with everything but at the
sight of Bramhan (Knowledge) it turns its face away. Oh Narayan, unless this
mind is united with the Bramhan, the cycle of birth and death cannot be
avoided. One must free oneself from this cycle in this human birth because
there is no better chance except in this birth. To stabilize the mind, one
must perform Idol Worship though an idol is not the God. When such worship
is performed, the mind is concentrated. Without the concentration of mind,
it cannot be stabilized. After this, one should read holy books and think
deeply and try to act accordingly.

Knowledge of the Soul (Self Realization) is the supreme amongst all the
sciences. It is like the Mount Meru amongst the mountains. When one masters
this knowledge, absolution walks to him and the Lord Hari becomes his slave.
Though the steps for climbing the ladder of this knowledge are difficult. I
will tell a simple way for you. Maruti Kaka, Haripant, Beray and other
devotees, too, should follow with you to achieve absolution. You must act
according to my advice which I gave you and Nimonkar in the past. Everybody
should surrender to the Lord and no one else. Have Siddha Darshan regularly
with good faith. Due to this merit you will be fully conscious at the time
of your death. At that time, with full concentration, think about the Lord
only. Think of your own Deity and meditate on Him. When your life ends in
this meditation, you will get absolution (Samipata Mukti). As Bannu from
Bodhegaon has recently achieved absolution, Adkar and Venu will also achieve
it by self realization.'

Satsang MYSTERY OF BIRTH

5. What is the mistery behind the man's birth - everyone knows, but no one
realises - just imagine that out of a drop of Dhatu Bindnu, a liquid fluid
drop - a figure is carved out of a human feminine body as also other
creatures in the universe with different shapes, description - all but a
mass of flesh with bones and nerves, suiting different climates, food and
conditions in water, land and air. The figure of a man is shaped and set
with different organs, each to function its duty independently with nine
outlets. Each organ is endowed with separate exclusive power to function on
its own without any inter-linking or inter-dependence between them. What
one organ does, the other cannot. They are of course connected to each
other by instinct to one central box - the brain, which is endowed with the
power of thinking, discriminating and directing.
6. Who on earth can tell, may not even the latest advanced modern Scientist,
with all his exhaustive research for space and atom, what this miracle is.
Take the organ "THE EYE" which is also out of the same dhatu bindhu - has
the power to see - only good things - but not bad ones-so is the case with
every other organ.
7. Could the modern advanced Scientist, a Research Scholar, a Moon goer or
an atom blaster make a human form with the functioning of the organ from any
other material, chemical liquid or fluids? He must be first born, created
by God and by accident of birth as ordained by the Lord, man can then become
a Scientist and carry on research on the Moon, Star or any planet or even go
nearer to Sun, blast an atom or a Hydrogen bomb and destroy the world, but
can he win God? Become God himself? That is the divine Supreme and
super-power the creator - the Brahman - a mystery - since one cannot see or
know where and how it is.
8. A man of flesh developed into a body with bones, nerves, lungs, heart
etc. etc. with joints to facilitate movement as desired and this structure
covered to shape the body with skin with no fire or grinder inside; but the
food, solid or liquid, you take is ground and some part of it is changed
into blood and marrow, to give strength to the body and thus automatically
pump it with its own mysterious God made mechanism - a wonder - but once it
stops functioning no one can revive it and that is the end of a human being.
Even the body does not retain any excess food but rejects the same as
excreta and water (urine).
