will be held at Sidhartha Extension, New Delhi. Let us
see what leela Baba show us at Chandigarh.

Last Thursday when Udi appeared on
the hands of Mrs. Gupta besides on her lap, she was
very deep in the meditation. She was so deep in
meditation that a doctor sitting next to her felt the
need to check her pulse and touched her feet to feel
it. This Thursday also the Pooja was very powerful and
devotees from very far of places attended it. Many
papers, Sai Satcharitra, Statues were kept in the
mandir and all were blessed with Udi. In some cases
the response was so quick that when the papers were
handed over to Mrs Gupta in the mandir, to be placed
there, Udi started appearing on it. Even before they
were placed in the mandir. On others Udi appeared
when articles were in the mandir.

Following devotees, participated in
absencia in the recitation of Sri Sai Amrit Vani by
reciting Sri Sai Amrit Vani at their places. The list
is sorted, as per their email id’s. However Mrs. Gupta
prayed for all the devotees. We include only those
devotees in the list, who themselves also recite or
read Sri Sai Amrit Vani at their places. The names

of the devotees “for prayer”, are prayed for, but not
included in the list. Kindly mention clearly, against
each devotee’s name that he/she will recite or read

or listen to Sri Sai Amrit Vani, or only “for prayers”,
If no mention of it is made then it will be presumed
that the names are only for prayer and the names

will not be included in the list. Please also give the
location of the place.

This Thursday the 30th Nov , we were able
to see the following Leelas of Baba.

1. Udi started oozing from Tuesday the 28th Nov.
from all the photos of Baba on the walls and in the
mandir room. Udi started falling from the photos from
Wednesday the 29th Nov and so papers were placed
under the photos since Wednesday. However inside the
Mandir it started oozing from the Statue of Baba and
the photo on Wednesday. The words OM, Ram and

Shyam appeared on the main photo in the mandir
and the big photo on the wall.
2. There was a lot of Water from the Charans this week
also. This water was collected in the Thali. The
taste of water was similar to gulab jal and
Kewara-Kesar. After Sai Amrit Vani, this water was
given to the devotees. Many devotees brought small
bottles with them and took this holy water home also.
Water was taken out many times and every time thali
was again filled up.
3. Lap of Mrs. Gupta was filled with lots of Udi
during the recitation of Sri Sai Amrit Vani/prayers.
Udi also appeared on shoulders of other few devotees
also.
4. There was long horizontal tilak of Chanden on many
photos of Baba and even on the photo of Sri Hanuman
ji.
5. The presence of Baba during the Sai Amrit Vani was
very strong and many devotees felt it during the
recitation of Sai Amrit Vani in different ways.
6. Sri Sai Amrit Vani was very soothing this time
also, without any disturbances as all the late comers
were accommodated in the room rather than in the hall.

7. On Thursday as soon as Bhog was offered, it was
duly accepted by Baba and after the Sri Sai Amrit
Vani we noticed that the box, which was placed
before HIM was with partly eaten pieces. All the
pieces of sweets in the box had some engraved figures
on them. Part of Bhog was on the lips of many photos
and statue of Baba. Part pieces of the remains with
figures on them, in the box were given to the
devotees who offered that item of bhog to Baba.
8. All the boxes of Bhog which were kept on the table
were blessed with lots of Udi . Udi was collected on
the papers by the devotees.
9. The Charnamrit, the water in which Baba took the
bath in the morning was also sweet as if some honey
has been mixed into it.
10. Many papers, Statues and Sai Satcharitras kept
in the mandir room of devotees, were blessed with

lots of Udi as soon as they were placed there.

Jai Sai Ram

Sri Sai Amrit Vani started at 11:04

KEYBOARD FEATURE OF THE WEEK:
The story of Baba's help with household responsibilities
How a man seeking to escape the discharge of his
worldly duties by running away for good from it on the
excuse of going on a pilgrimage, was persuaded by
Baba to return home and to shoulder his responsibilities
like a man, is best seen in the life of one Janardan
Moreshwer Fanse alias Haribhau Fanse.
Wearied with carrying on the burden of his worldly cares,
informing his mother Haribhau left his home for
Rameshwar; however as Shirdi was on the way to
Rameshwar, with a view to have the blessings of the far
famed Shri Baba he came to Shirdi and felt so much
attracted by Baba,. That he stayed at Shirdi for a week.
When thereafter he asked Baba's permission to go to
Rameshwar. He ordered him to go home, saying his
mother had abstained from food since the day he had
left home and if he failed to return home she might die.
The mother was very much pleased t see her son back
at home and was convinced that Baba was omniscient. In
the meanwhile a person of his village being attacked
with Cholera approached him; he administered to him
Shri Baba's holy ashes and he was cured. This led the
people to believe that he was a physician. The holy
ashes were however soon exhausted and so Haribhau
was embarrassed as to how he should deal with another
Cholera case, if he got one. But luckily for him Cholera
left his village since that day. Thereafter he happened to
go to a nearby village and casually met some Marwadi
merchant known to him. The merchant seeing that a
simple devotee had come to meet him, told Haribhau,"
Look here, my brother is seriously ill, all physicians,
doctors have tried their utmost to cure him but they
have all failed; now since you are Shri Sai Baba's
devotee, if your Sai Baba is really a saint, He must
cure my brother through you." Haribhau saw the patient
found the case to be serious, was therefore anxious to
slip away but as it was night, he could not leave for
home. At night when Haribhau's Bhajan (prayer) time
became due, the patient himself made the necessary
preparations for Bhajan and throughout the Bhajan sat
concentration on Baba's Photo. This surprised all and
the Marwadi now said," Whether the patient dies or
survives I will have his medicine form none but you."
To shirk the responsibility Haribhau purposely quoted
his fees in excess of those of the Civil Surgeon, at
Rs.200/-. The Marwadi agreed to that. That night
Baba appeared in Haribhau's dream and told him what
the disease was and the medicine to be prescribed for
it. Haribhau prescribed the said medicine and the
patient started taking this medicine; the patient full
recovered after a time and so the Marwadi offered
Rs.200/- the stipulated fees to Haribhau, but Haribhau
would not accept it stating he had done nothing, it
was his Guru's work. Marwadi could not rest satisfied
till he requited Haribhau's labor in some form or other
so he bought a scarf worth Rs.200/- and going to
Haribhau's house when he was out, left it there.
Haribhau could not now refuse the acceptance but
he felt that the price-amount of the scarf should be
sent to Baba. However as he was penniless and Baba
had also left off His body in the meanwhile, while
offering his usual night prayers, tears rolled down
his eyes.
That very night Baba appeared to him in his dream
and said, "There is famine all round at present, so
sell off the scarf and purchase rice from this amount
of Rs.200/-, sell it at under price for the present; carry
on this rice business till this amount of Rs.200/- runs
out. Then sell rice at profit and you will be able to
make a living." Following these instructions Haribhau
prospered, became happy and then never thought of
deserting home.
FEATURE OF THE WEEK: continued.......
Baba did not and does not even today want that His
devotees should starve; of course He discouraged
greed but He wanted that His devotees should have
a proper living and so He helped most of them up to
a job or provided them with facilities for business.

CONTRIBUTED ARTICLE: Kabir - The devotee of the
Lord In the 14th century there lived a great saint by name
Swami Ramananda.
Drawing inspiration from the message of universal love
preached by Sri Ramanuja-AcArya three centuries earlier,
he changed the face of spiritual India by turning it in the
direction of simple bhakti, away from ritual and
caste-ridden rigidity. His most outstanding disciple was
Kabir (1398 - 1518),
India's greatest symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity. Kabir
accompanied Ramananda on pilgrimages throughout
India and in the process imbibed the revolutionary
spirit of the master. Kabir's lucid lyrics of devotion, for
the first time composed in the local language, Hindi,
rather than in elitist Sanskrit, reached the remotest
villages throughout the country. He was a rebel against
everything unspiritual and against all ritualistic norms in
both Hinduism and Islam. He strongly advocated respect
for, and the oneness of, all religions. Nobody knew of his
parentage because he was picked up as a baby by his
foster parent, a weaver by profession and a Muslim by
faith. He preached the greatness of the name Ram, still
remaining a Muslim. He taught nirguNa bhakti, i.e., the
devotion of the Transcendental Absolute, without form,
without attributes. His knowledge was not the outcome
of any study of the scriptures, unlettered as he was,
but it all arose from his own personal experience. He
preached against all exclusiveness, privileges and
priestcraft. He strongly condemned caste, circumcision
and idolatry but simultaneously believed in rebirth and
release from samsAra. He emphasized on God's Grace
as most essential for Illumination. As an experimenter
with truth, he spent much of his time in prayer and
contemplation. And when he spoke he spoke out his
mind fearlessly. His songs reverberate with his spiritual
experiences and visions. Most of his sayings were
expressed in brief form and have the appearance of
proverbs or folk wisdom, rather than deliberate
compositions. For instance, to make the point that God
is all-pervading, he asks: Tell me my friend, 'Is the
heart in the beloved or the beloved in the heart?'.
Kabir's teachings may be summarized, if at all they
can be, by saying that apart from God there is nothing
animate or inanimate with a separate existence. Every
insignificant creature has its share of the Existence
of the Absolute in itself. Man does not realize this
because of his elusive nature and the deception
(mAyA) caused by appearances. Once he frees
himself from this mAyA he realizes that he is in all
and all are in him and there is nothing else but he.
But this identity cannot be established by reasoning.
One has to take recourse to sahaj and transcend
the coarse mental process.
The word sahaj means the state of diverting the senses
from its morbidities to God. In the lake of sahaj, there
are only waves of love. The soul then sports with the
Lord in that lake. 'The lock of error shuts the gate, open
it with the key of Love' says Kabir. With his tremendous
popularity he could have easily established a sect
himself, but he did not, (though his followers did, after
his death) nor did he accept any sectarian thinking.

FROM THE EDITORS KEYBOARD

FEATURE OF THE WEEK: Why do we need a Guru?
The knowledge of the self is so subtle and mystic that
no one could by his own individual effort ever hope to
attain it. So the help of another person Teacher who
himself got Self - realization is absolutely necessary.
What others cannot give with great labor and pains,
can be easily gained with the help of such a Teacher;
for he has walked on the path himself and can easily
take the disciple, step by step on the ladder of spiritual
progress.
Innumerable discoveries and inventions have taken
place in the history of mankind. With each step towards
perfection, man realizes more distinctly the greater
scope for unfolding the mysteries of nature and life.
Under these circumstances of materialistic advancements
in life, man is getting perplexed because the gains of
scientific and technological progress are making his
life more and more complicated. Extrovert attitude of
a man has created the above conditions. Seldom he
adopts an introvert attitude to gain the knowledge of
the self. Recklessly man continues his efforts and
there is neither the true knowledge nor the tranquility
of mind.
It is the quality of the heart that counts in getting a real
Guru. Teacher and the taught are the two positions in
the field of general education. Highly educated students
after completions of their studies do not get suitable
opening for their career. Under-employment and
un-employment are frustrating experiences. The above
situation has developed due to the fact that the quest
for knowledge of the self is missing.
We who believe in universal brother hood of mankind-who
do not believe in caste, creed, high, low, etc get a Guru
like Sainath Maharaj.'Gurudev Santasi Sada Namave'-
Always bow to Gurudev and saints. Therefore whenever
we come across other saints, we respectfully bow to
them. However our fulcrum point of concentration is our
Sadguru. We learn to see him in all objects around
ourselves. He is witnessing all our activities round the
clock. We do feel that he is steering all our affairs.

Our thoughts, words and actions are gradually purified
to the extent that our entity is totally submerged in the
personality of our Sadguru. This is the holy and spiritual
blending of self with the Master. The whole process is
that of purification, of removal of dirt, of identifying the
glories of the self through introversion. Let the lining of
purity be permanent. Thereafter an amount of dirt around
us will not block our vision. It is our privilege to belong
to this glorious fraternity of Sadguru Sainath Maharaj.
Sadguru is taking millions of us simultaneously step
by step on the ladder of spiritual progress and we can
make the task easier for ourselves only through our
unstinted devotion to our merciful Lord.

CONTRIBUTED ARTICLE: Thanksgiving!
What is the method of teaching that Baba followed? Did
He install any institution or a particular way of thought for
His followers to propagate? For that matter, has there
been any record of Sadguru Sainath appointing anyone
to continue His mission?

Inscrutable are His ways! This is the well-known phrase
from Nagesh Vasudev Gunaji's English version of Shri
Sai Satcharitha. It turns out to be true. During His lifetime
and after, Baba showed a peculiar way of teaching and
guiding His followers. He had asked some to be more
disciplined, perform rituals, and undertake reading of
sacred texts, while some were asked to keep quiet or
just wait. Some were commended for their piety while
some denounced for their orthodoxy!
Baba seemed to have answers to the innermost of the
questions His followers had. He seemed to have a
certain way of giving "individualized instruction"
depending on one's earnestness. However, He seems
to be very particular in emphasizing certain virtues in
His followers. The two pice (two cents) He demanded
were faith and patience. Invaluable! By calling Himself
as a servant, Baba has stressed the importance of
humility, because humility is a virtue that reaps rich
harvest in one's pursuits. By insisting on the surrender
of the self and accepting the will of the supreme over the
individual, Baba stressed the existence of a unifying
higher order. His views on the purpose of religions were
simple, "There is only one God and the purpose of every
religion is the same". In a unique way, Sai Baba of Shirdi
also had asked His followers to investigate the "self". He
also expounded on the obstacles for such a pursuit,
native as well as acquired. Is it possible to categorize this
unique way of spiritual leadership? For some, Baba's life
and teachings might look like a paradox, but in reality,
His ways are as simple and natural as it could be! He did
not give any set of rules to follow for His disciples. On the
other hand, He was present in the minds of earnest
devotees who sought His guidance on matters, big and
small. For such people, in His words, He guarded them
from front, back, and sides. To those who would differ
with His advice, Baba said simply,

"God will do good". Neither was there an insistence on
a rigorous stewardship. Faith and patience are two traits
common to everyone regardless of their religious, social,
and financial or other status. By invoking the traits
common to every human being, Sai Baba of Shirdi has
indeed simplified the pursuit and the purpose life may
have, which could otherwise be quite complicated given
the nature of the modern day mosaic mankind has
found itself in. How shall one thank Sainath of Shirdi for
this? On this Thanksgiving Day, let us be happy for
being so fortunate and reflect on these thoughts.

Sridhar
Baba, You know the problems which me and my
family and Reddy and his family goin through. Baba
please solve the problem and give us one more
chance to redeem ourself. Baba I am totally
disappointed and depressed with my life, Baba
please approve our change of status petition.

EXPERIENCE OF DEVOTEES:

Pran Razdan
Last week I went to the top of my block to check
the water pressure in my overhead tank. The tanks
for each flat in our society in Gurgaon are mounted
on the rooftop of the building on parapets about two
feet high from the roof floor. I went on the parapet
and opened the lid of the water tank, a solid RCC
circular block of two feet diameter. The moment I
lifted the lid, a lizard jumped towards me. Too
nervous to control, I dropped the lid from my hand
in a flash and started falling backwards. I was
certain to fall on the back of my head on the parapet
wall but lo and behold I almost sat on a chair with
not even a scratch even. The incident did not end
here. Over came the lid I had left, rolling down and
fell straight on my right kneecap since I was by
now sitting almost in a chair. Though I pushed the
lid towards my right but was sure that my kneecap
was broken under the heavy weight of the lid. But
again, just a minor scratch and nothing else. I had
enough swelling which came down next day and
the leg was uncomfortable for a day or two. By
the third day everything was back to normal. Do
we need any more evidence of Sai's everlasting
company?

Mahi
This happened last week. I moved to a new apartment
recently. In my old apartment I used to keep all my
certificates including my MS certificate in an envelope
and place it on the top shelf of a cupboard. While
moving since I couldn't see it I missed it totally and
left it there. One Friday I suddenly realized that I
didn't have all those certificates with me. Sai Baba
has given me so much confidence in my life that I
can say for the first time ever in my life I never
panicked about losing my certificates. I had total
confidence in Sai Baba and felt that He would take
care of it. Being disturbed I went to sleep with a great
difficulty, thinking that I will go and search for it in my
old apartment and asked Baba to please take care
of it. Next day I first went to check in my office as to
whether I left it there because I have taken it to my
office once. Not finding it there I was okay with the
situation thinking He is there to take care of all that.
Then when I went back to my old apartment I found
it over there. It was indeed a miracle because of the
tensions in my life right now I didn't even remember
many things. But Sai helps me always. I feel He
takes care of everyone and everything. It was indeed
a miracle that trusting Him so much I did not feel
tensed even though this would mean I would be
unable to attend a visa interview till I get those
certificates. Thanks to all the Sai bandhus for
sharing their wonderful experiences always which
gives me a lot of courage. At last I pray to Baba
again to forgive me for all my misdeeds and give me
patience and faith to carry on with my life from this
situation. Please help me Baba I need your help.
Please give me peace of mind. It is a humble
request to You that though I want something so
dearly and not sure of whether I will get that or
not please help me see through things clearly
and help me not get any rude shocks,
Please help me.

Shruti
After my Masters I was desperately looking for a
job in my field. I was totally frustrated and prayed to
Baba to help me. My parents and sisters firmly
believed that Baba would listen to our prayers. After
many obstacles at every step I finally got a job in
a well-reputed company, which I can say is my
dream come true! My family and I very strongly
believe that this is Baba's miracle. With this
experience I learnt not to lose hope and have
patience as Baba always listens to his devotees
prayers. God bless.

Chandana
I prayed to Shri Saibaba for a job in this country. He
guided me through everything, even when I was going
for this interview I felt Baba's presence in the room
and I had a strong gut feeling that I did well in the
interview and I am going to get the job. He tested
me so much but ultimately gave me whole lot of
happiness by giving me this job. I thank You
abundantly for all Your blessings. I promised Baba
that I would definitely put this miracle in Sai Vichaar.
I got a call in the afternoon that I have been offered
the job and they are also going to train me for the
job.

Narasimhan
I am a devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba since the age of 16.
I have always felt His presence in every activity of
mine. I felt He gave me solutions during the toughest
moments in my life. He has always forced me to
traverse the path of honesty and truth and has punished
me if acted otherwise. I never would like to regret on
the decisions that I have taken in my life as He has
always blessed the decisions. I thank a million times
for helping me meet my life partner who is caring,
loving and understanding and most importantly, an
ardent devotee of Shirdi Baba. He has seen me solve
the problems at the professional front and Sai Baba
will be the first person that I will thank when I have my
doctoral degree next year. I must thank Him for giving
me a coveted job in a very reputed Automobile
company in Germany at a very apt time. Recently I
saw Him solve many of the bureaucratic hassles. I am
going to marry my dream partner the next month in
the company of all our relatives and dear Shirdi Sai.
I want His ceaseless love on us always and all the
time.

Satsang Thought for the day

Life
Your Perfect Teacher
Many of us long to find a spiritual teacher or guru. We

may feel unsure of how to practice our spirituality without
one, or we may long for someone who has attained a
higher level of insight to lead the way for us. Some of us
have been looking for years to no avail and feel frustrated
and even lost.
The good news is that the greatest teacher you could
ever want is always with you-that is your life. The people
and situations we encounter every day have much to
teach us when we are open to receiving their wisdom.
Often we don't recognize our teachers because they
may not look or act like our idea of a guru, yet they
may embody great wisdom. In addition, some people
teach us by showing us what we don't want to do. All
the situations in our lives, from the insignificant to the
major, conspire to teach us exactly what we need to
be learning at any given time. Patience, compassion,
perseverance, honesty, letting go-all these are covered
in the classroom of the teacher that is your life.

We can help ourselves to remember this perfect
teacher each day with a few simple words. Each
morning we might find a moment to say, "I acknowledge
and honor the teacher that is my life. May I be wise
enough to recognize the teachers and lessons that I
encounter today, and may I be open to receiving their
wisdom." We might also take some time each day to
consider what our lives are trying to teach us at this
time. A difficult phase in your relationship with your
child may be teaching you to let go. The homeless
person you see every day may be showing you the
boundaries of your compassion and generosity. A
spate of lost items may be asking you to be more
present to physical reality. Trust your intuition on
the nature of the lesson at hand, work at your own
pace, and ask as many questions as you want.
Your life has all the answers.

From Daily Om

May the Merciful Sri Sai Baba always shower His grace on us and our families and remove our problems and anxieties by giving us all - strength , goodluck, success and happiness with peace of mind.

Satsang Sri Sai Amrit Vani

23rd Nov 2006
Jai Sai Ram

This Thursday Baba showed us a new
leela, During Sri Sai Amrit Vani, when we were
reciting “Tere Charno ke Dhool Jo mil Jaye” all of a
sudden, the hands of Mrs Gupta were filled with the
Udi, besides her lap was also filled with Udi as
Usual.

This Thursday the 23rd Nov , we were able
to see the following Leelas of Baba.

1. Udi started oozing from Tuesday the 21st Nov.
from all the photos of Baba on the walls and in the
mandir room. Udi was also falling since then and

so papers had to be placed under the photos since
Tuesday. However inside the Mandir it started oozing
from the Statue of Baba and the photo on Wednesday.
The words OM, Ram and Shyam appeared on the

main photo in the mandir and the big photo on the wall.
On one photo it was Swastic along with the OM.
2. There was a lot of Water from the Charans this

week also.
3. Hands and Lap of Mrs. Gupta was filled with lots

of Udi during the recitation of Sri Sai Amrit
Vani/prayers. Udi also appeared on shoulders of other
devotees also.
4. The presence of Baba during the Sai Amrit Vani

was very strong and many devotees felt it during the
recitation of Sai Amrit Vani in different ways.
5. Sri Sai Amrit Vani was very soothing this time,
without any disturbances as all the late comers were
accommodated in the room rather than in the hall.
7. All the boxes of Bhog which were kept on the table
were blessed with lots of Udi . Udi was collected on
the papers by the devotees.
8. The Charnamrit, the water in which Baba took the
bath in the morning was also sweet as if some honey
has been mixed into it.
9. Some papers, kept in the mandir room by

Mrs. Gupta of devotees, were blessed with lots of
Udi.

Jai Sai Ram

Sri Sai Amrit Vani started at 11:04
AM. Noon Aartee started at 12:00 Hrs. followed by
brief Meditation and the prayer, Prayan of one
Chapter from Sai Satcharitra. Prayers and thanks

were offered by Mrs. Gupta to Baba. Finally distribution
of Prasad, Udi and the water from the Charans.

them and be in time.
