OMSAIRAM!SAI BABA ALONE KNOWS HIS LEELAS.

OMSAIRAM!SAI BABA ALONE KNOWS HIS LEELAS.
Today also I was called to Veena Maa's place by Sai baba.
As I was the first one to reach her place..I had a heartful darshan.
I had taken Sai baba's Murti which was brought from Shirdi.
Veena Maa kept it in her Mandir and lit agarbattis.
Immediately I saw UDI on Sai baba's Murti.
Veena Maa applied Durga Maa's Sindoor on my forehead.
I sat and prayed for all forum members.
Soon the place was full of devotees.
I guess more than 300 devotees had come.
During the Amrit Vani I experienced a loud thud and Sai baba running
in the room.
I looked at Veena Maa ..She smiled..I too smiled.
During the Aarti ...Could hear bells from the Sai Amrit Vani
Cassette...This is a divine Miracle..
Today as I prayed during Amrit Vani...I started sweating profusely
and my head became cold...
There was lot of UDI on Veena Maa's saree.
As Veena Maa blessed us with UDI from her Saree...I felt energetic.

Different bhog could be seen on BABA's lips..especially Mangoes.

We also had to attend Durga Maa's bhandaara..which Veena Maa's
colony had organized.

Today's Amrit Vani was totally divine experience for me...As i am
just an ordinary devotee...

SAI BABA ALONE KNOWS HIS LEELAS.

Sai baba let your holy lotus feet be our sole refuge.OMSAIRAM

Satsang Sri Sai Amrit Vani

6th April 2006

Jai Sai Ram
Today is Ram Naumi i.e is Baba's
birthday. Every experience was unique in its own way.
Each and every Leela of Baba was so heart touching and
overwhelming that the feeling can not be described in
words and when so many Leelas are there, you can well
imagine the feelings of the devotees. They feel the
presence of Baba in so many ways. So many devotees saw
Baba walking in the hall and in the background they
can hear sounds of the auspicious bell, shankh and
other instruments . Today in the morning when the
devotees came in the hall, they were so amazed to see
such beautiful 'Roop' of baba. All the idols of Baba
were oozing 'Udi'. From the charan the devotees can
see water and Honey coming out of the Idols. Baba is
so great that HE blesses each and every devotees in
HIS own unique way. Today being Baba's birthday around
250 devotees attended the Amrit Vani and around 10.30
their was no space left in the hall. Many people had
to stand outside the house and few sat in their cars.
Inside the house all the three bedrooms, court yard
and even the kitchen was full with devotees. But by
the grace of baba every one attended Shri Sai Amrit
Vani and prayed to baba. Today during Amrit vani the
volume of cassette increased automatically and so many
devotees raised their hand because they saw baba
walking in the hall. All these experiences were shared
by the devotees after Amrit vani.. The desires and
wishes are fulfilled and they want to attend Sri Sai
Amrit Vani again and again. Being Ram Naumi, Bhandara
(Langer) was arranged in the Temple nearby and all the
devotees had the Lunch there. Devotees have seen Baba
going from here during the Sai Amrit Vani and also
have seen HIM taking the food at the Bhandara.

This Thursday, Baba is blessing
with Udi, Maa Durga and Maa Vaishnow is also
blessing with Kumkum (Sindoor). This Kumkum started
oozing from the first day of Navratrey. Large amount
of Kumkum is still falling from Maa Durga's Photo.
All were applied tilak with this kumkum. This
phenomina of Kumkum is also happening for quite some
years now. Jai Sai Ram.

We were able to see the following
Leelas of Baba on Thursday the 30th March 2006.

1. Udi started appearing and oozing from the photos
and the statue of Baba from Tuesday. As usual the
words formed with Udi were again 'RAM' and 'SHAM' 'OM'
and Trishool. On Wednesday Udi started oozing from
all the other photos also except the Statue.
2. On Thursday Honey started coming and dropping from
the statue of Baba and a plate was placed below the
statue. Perhap it was the birthday treat from Baba.
3. There was a lot of Water from the Charans. This
water was also collected in the plate. The taste of
water was similar to gulab jal and kewara. After Amrit
Vani this water was given to the devotees and again
the plate was filled with water. Jai Sai Ram.
4. Today being Baba's birthday, 28 items of Mithaies
(sweets), namkeen and fruits were offered to Baba as
Bhog during Sri Sai Amrit Vani. Which were duly
accepted by Baba and they were found blessed with Udi
and partly eaten which were placed before HIM. Part of
Mango was also on the lips of Baba.
5. Lap of Mrs Gupta was filled with Udi during the Sai
Amrit Vani. Besides Mrs Gupta many devotees also had
Udi in their books of Sri Sai Amrit Vani. Which they
collected in papers.
6. Many devotees felt the presence of Baba during the
recitation of Sai Amrit Vani in different ways. Some
felt Baba walking through them.
7. The Charnamrit of Baba was also sweet as if some
honey has been mixed into it.
8. Two Statues of Baba of quite big size were kept in
the Mandir by Mrs gupta which was blessed with Udi.
9. Letters received from Sh. K Anand, Baroda and Mr.
K Mani, Chennai were placed before Baba. Please
address the inner cover to Sri Sai Baba and write your
name and place also.

Satsang SREE RAMACHANDRA AND HIS GREATEST ACT.

SREE RAMACHANDRA AND HIS GREATEST ACT.
(By A. SWAMINATHA AYYAR.)
Obeisance to the Lord of the daughter-of Janaka who being entrusted by the
Gods to relieve the earth of her burden, was born on the earth disguised as
man. Obeisance to the Lord, who after the in carnation as the Buddha, free
from even a trace of violence would take the avatar of Kalki, to
re-establish the reign of Dharma

In Sree Ramachandra, we get a many-sided picture of a perfect and ideal
life. Sri Ramachandra is brought face to face with a series of difficult,
baffling, and tragic situations and he comes out triumphant without swerving
in the least-from the highest principles of Dharma as conceived by our
ancients. Of the many great deeds of the Lord in his avatar as Sree
Ramachandra none stands out more prominently than the renunciation of his
Kingdom and throne at a phychological moment. There is perhaps no parallel
to this in the history of the human race. And. with this, I propose to deal
in this article.

The story goes that once upon a time, Indra, the Lord of the Devas sought
the help of King Dasaratha, the father of Sree Ramachandra, in his battle
with an Asura. The King who was a mighty warrior gladly responded to the
call, betook himself to where the Asura was, challenged him to mortal
combat, and gave him a very, bad hour of it. As misfortune would have it,
the axle of the King's car gave way in the thick of the fight, and the enemy
taking advantage of the "King's plight rushed to make short work of him.
Just then Queen Kaikeyi, the King's favourite wife who accompanied her
husband, seeing the perilous condition in which her husband was, boldly took
charge of the situation and removed the helpless King to a safe place. This
happened twice in the course of the battle. The King who was of a strong
emotional temperament, cried out *' Ask of me whatever you will and it is
yours." The young queen who had evidently more foresight and prudence than
the King, thanked him heartily for his generosity, made light of the service
she had rendered him and replied. "' The favourite wife of King Dasaratha
should and does lack nothing. Yet I keep it in mind and shall ask you to
abide by your promise, should an opportunity offer itself later, near or
distant." Years after, sons were born to King Dasaratha, Sree Ramachandra
being the eldest, and the most beloved of them all. He was growing in wisdom
and valour and was regarded by the people as the very embodiment of high
principles and noble qualities, and of every social and domestic virtue. The
King's subjects besought him with one voice to rest after his long and
strenuous reign and install in his stead Sri Ramachandra on the throne. The
King acceded to the prayer of his subjects and had made all arrangements for
the installation of Ramachandra, as Yuva/raja. Kaikeyi the King's favourite
queen who came to know of the King's decision thought the installation of
Rama was hostile to the interests of her own son Bharata, who would be kept
out from the throne for ever. So she worked herself up into a rage, and the
doting King Bought to appease her, promising to grant anything she wanted "
I swear by Rama. Do thon tell me thy heart's desire," the King said least
suspecting what was passing in the Queen's mind. Then reminding the King of
the incidents in the war between the Devas and the Asuras and his promise of
the grant of two boons to her, the Queen said " Do thou, with the
preparations made-for installing Rama, install Bharata on the throne, Let
the gentle Rama, clad in deer skin, lead the life of a mendicant in the
Dandaka forest for the space of nine and five years." Not all the pleadings
of the King could soften the heart of Kaikey who was adamant, and as may be
expected the King's heart bled itself to death at his helplessness and when
Ramachandra, having completed the preliminary religious ceremonies prior to
the installation sought the King to obtain his blessings, (he was mortified
to notice that the King, simply uttering "Rama " Rama was in suspense and
Kaikeyi quickly informed him of the -two boons granted to her. The story
goes that Rama was not in the least upset by what was told him but, that
with cheerful resignation he carried put that very moment the unspoken
command of his father though conveyed through the Queen Kaikeyi.

Satsang Bhakta Leela Amrut by Das Ganu Maharaj

Kondya Sutar was a devotee of Baba who loved Baba in his own special way.
One day Baba asked Kondya to go to the Khalwadi (the place where the harvest
is threshed) and put out the fire there. He said that the central stack of
the harvest had caught fire. Frightened, Kondya rushed to the Khalwadi and
made anxious enquiries but found no signs of fire. Returning, he complained
to Baba saying that he had been put to unnecessary trouble and that his feet
were scorched through walking in the hot sun. Baba replied," Listen. My
words are never untrue. Look behind you and see the smoke for yourself. The
harvest stacks lie close together in a heap but the central stack is on
fire." It was a summer afternoon and a sprightly wind was blowing. Trees
were breaking and roofs were flying. "Fire! Fire!" shouted the people of
Shirdi as they rushed to Baba and begged him to save the harvest and thus
save the people and the cattle of the village from hunger and death. Moved
by their appeal. Baba got up at once and went to the "Khalwadi." He poured
water around the central stack which was on fire. He then said to the
villagers. "Only this stack will burn. This one is the share of Agni. Do not
try to extinguish the fire. No harm will come to the other stacks." Baba's
words came true. By saving the rest of the stacks, Baba demonstrated his
power over Agni. All the five elements are in fact under the control of holy
men like Baba. In the evening people came for Baba's darshan, Nanasaheb
among them, Baba said to Nana, "O Nana, look at these greedy people. Today
the harvest of the Bhagchand (the owner of the central stack) burned down to
ashes, and here he is moaning his loss. Gain and loss, birth and death are
all under the control of God. These foolish people do not realize this. They
dance with joy when they gain and start crying when they lose. The joy as
well as the sorrow comes of a feeling of ownership but it is meaningless to
claim ownership. The burnt-down stack did not belong to the Marwadi. It
consisted of hay which came into existence from seeds borne by the earth.
The cloud watered them and the sun kneaded them into shape with his own
hands. Thus, the earth, the cloud and the sun are the real owners of the
stack. All things in this world are produced in this manner. We certainly
are not their owners. Nana, ask the Marwadi why he is weeping over the loss
of something which was never his and worrying me in the bargain. What the
Lord gives with one hand, he takes away with the other. In our ignorance we
think we are the owners of things and this sense of ownership is the root
cause of our joy and sorrow. Shethji, go home now in peace. You will make
good your loss in some other business."

Everybody was pleased to listen to this discourse. Nanasaheb his face
radiant with joy and peace, bowed down and said to Baba: "O Lord! You are
like the moon while we devotees are like the chakor birds. You are the ocean
of knowledge. Kindly remove our ignorance. Tell me who is God. Where
does he live? What should one do to meet him? If this world is unreal
why should one get involved in it? Please explain these things to me."
Baba said, "I shall explain everything to you some other time."

Satsang Sai Baba's Help

Sai Baba's Help

Sai Baba has declared that He has come to give blessings to people, temporal and spiritual, and that He drew them to Him under various pretexts. Some go to Him on their own accord, not realising that it is really Baba who is pulling them to Him.

Lord Sai Nath says "Four sorts of men are drawn to me. They are (1) the distressed, (2) those seeking knowledge, (3) those wanting worldly objects and (4) those who desire perfect wisdom."
The distressed people are the earliest to approach Baba. But once, distress pesters them, they feel helpless and seek the aid of a Higher Power. Distress rouses hope and faith. When distress enters, all fancied doubts fly and leave the man with a ready
receptive heart and make him rush to Sai Baba, Though in the early days of Baba many at Shirdi considered Baba as a 'Mad Fakir', Baba's goodness converted a few to believe Him. Baba's medical help for leprosy, T.B. etc. was miraculous and effective. He kept on chanting 'Hari - Hari' and soon He got 'SAKSHATKARA' (as He Himself told H.S. Dixt).

When Divine Grace had come to Him fully, then Divine Powers manifested in Sai Baba. Thereafter, with His 'UDHI', He cured diseases and relieved troubles. Baba said 'I say things here and they happen there.' For Sai-Devotees this is an everyday experience. The moment we Sai remember, help always comes. Therefore we consider Baba as GOD. For a person who has
completely surrendered to Sai-Consciousness, there is always SAI-JOY.

Dear Sai-Brothers and Sai-Sisters : All the 24 hours of the day and night, Baba is actively working for the benefit of every one who comes to Him or whoever prays Him. SARVABHUTA HITERATAH (interested in the welfare of all creatures) is the description of our GURU-GOD SAI BABA. Let us pray to Him and seek His help in all respects - spiritual as well as temporal.

Let us remember that Sainath is close behind our thoughts and He rushes to our rescue whenever we call for His help. Have faith and surrender completely and then you can cross the ocean of life safely. In our day to-day life we must develop universal love to our brothers and sisters in this world.

A few days after this incident, Sai Maharaj casually said to Appa, "Thieves
have come to our village. They are not the ordinary run of thieves. They do
not steal anything tangible from the house. Their eyes are set on the most
valuable part of one's wealth. What is more, nobody can catch them in the
act of stealing. They will be attacking you first. Go and make proper
arrangements ." Appa did not understand the meaning of these words. However,
he hired some Bhils to guard his house and patrol the lanes.
At night Appa fell ill with cholera. He suffered from loose motions and
vomiting. His body grew cold, his eyes sank deeper and deeper and his pulse
became weaker. Seeing his condition Appa's wife got frightened, rushed to
the mosque, fell at Baba's feet and started crying. She said to Baba that
her husband was dying and asked for udhi to save him. Baba said in reply "Do
not grieve".
Death awaits all those that are born. Birth and death are deeds of the
Almighty. No one lives or dies here. If you see with the eye of knowledge,
you will realize you are no different. When the clothes become old and
frayed, you throw them away. In the same way, the soul, which is immortal
casts off the worn out body. Do not therefore, ask for "udhi to patch up the
old rags. Do not stop him from going. Let him leave. He has reached his
life's goal. He will go to heaven. He is right now-changing the clothes
before me ". Thus saying, Baba sent her home and Appa died soon after. The
next day a couple of more people went down with cholera. The people of
Shirdi were frightened and begged Baba to stop the scourge from spreading.
Baba said to them. "Only seven people will die of cholera and after that
Shirdi will be rid of the disease." Exactly seven people died of cholera in
Shirdi. Baba's prediction came true to the last word.

Ramdas Haridas was to perform a kirtan in Nagar the following day so he was
impatient to leave Shirdi and told the others that they should leave with
him immediately "Enough of this darshan " he said. "Let's hurry up and catch
the train to Nagar", Baba told Nanasaheb to stay a while, have his meal at
Shirdi and then go to Nagar. Hearing this: Nanasaheb became relaxed and set
about making arrangements for food with Kangaonkar. Ramdas on the other
hand, restless as ever said to Bapu Nagarkar, "I have to perform the kirtan
in Nagar tomorrow. Enough of this mad fellow. It is all right for Nanasaheb;
he has plenty of money . I'll have to beg in the streets if I follow Baba. I
can not earn a paisa here. Let's go to the station and catch the next train
to Nagar".

They left accordingly leaving Nanasaheb and Kangaonkar in Shirdi. Sai
Maharaj then said to Nanasaheb; "Look at these people. In their selfishness
they desert even their companions. Remember Nana. to take with you only such
companions as will stick with you till the end of the world. A man's
companion must be like fragrance to the flower." After the two had had their
food. Baba said to Nanasaheb," You may leave now but remember what I told
you. There is still time for the train to arrive." Nana bowed down at Sai's
feet and left for the railway station. There they found Bapu Nagarkar and
Ramdas waiting for the train. They had had no food and were feeling hungry.
Seeing Nanasaheb. they hung their heads in shame. In reply to Nanasaheb's
query; Nagarkar said ruefully, "Today the train is late by three hours. We
hurried to the station disobeying Sai and here we are dying of hunger,
enjoying the fruit of our disobedience. You did the right thing, while we
made fools of ourselves."

Satsang Bhakta Leela Amrut by Das Ganu Maharaj

Narayan Krishna Penshe did not believe in Sai Baba but his wife - Mai did. She had a keen desire to go to Shirdi and have Baba's darshan. She pleaded with her husband to take her to the holy man of Shirdi but in vain. "My dear" said Penshe, "there is no holy man in Shirdi. There is only a mad Muslim fellow cheating the foolish people who consider him a saint. Don't insist on having the darshan of such a person. He is simply a beggar who lives off the alms obtained by begging from door to door. The lady was very much disappointed. However, once Penshe happened to go to Shirdi with his wife in the ordinary course of his official work, and while he was busy attending to his duties, his wife went and had Baba's darshan. She was filled with bliss on bowing to Baba. On her return home she told, her husband of her experience and urged him to go and pray to Baba instead of slandering him. Thereupon Penshe went to have Baba's darshan. Seeing him approach the mosque, Baba picked up a stone and shouted at him, "I'll hit you if you come forward. I am a mad low caste Muslim while you are a high-caste Brahmin. Beware of coming near. You'll lose your piety."

Hearing the echo of his own words, Penshe realized that Baba is omnipresent. He said to himself "We talked about him at home and yet he knew what had passed between us. He knows everything. He is present everywhere like air," Later Penshe sought the help of Appa Kulkarni and secured Baba's darshan.

Appa Kulkarni of Shirdi was a great devotee of Sai Baba. He was once charged with embezzling government money, may be because of his past karma. God alone knew whether the charges were true or false but people started whispering that Appa was a cheat. Appa was scared that he might be taken to court and tried. Soon, sure enough, he received summons from the Deputy
Collector asking him to face a court of enquiry. Appa feared that he would never return to Shirdi once he left the place, so before leaving, he went up to Baba with folded hands and pleaded for help. "You are a Sadhu, a Satpurusha. You know whether the charge is true or not. I do not wish to say anything about it but please save me." He caught hold of Baba's feet and started weeping. He then went on to say; "People say I am your Kalyan.(Kalyan was Saint Ramdas' closest disciple). If I were sentenced, your name would be tarnished, You are my father and mother, my sole refuge."

Moved by the Bhakta's earnest pleas. Baba said to Appa, "The Deputy Collector is at present at Nevasa on the banks of the river Pravara. There, in Nevasa, is present the Lord himself, to whom Dyaneswara prayed while writing the Dynaneswari (Bhawartha Deepika). Pray to him before you present yourself at the court of enquiry." Appa did accordingly, and what a wonder!
He was acquitted of the charge of embezzlement and his honour vindicated. The next day Appa returned to Shirdi and told Baba everything. Baba said to him, "The Lord controls everything. He turns the impossible into the possible."

Satsang Statement of Sri Sankar Rao, D. Balvalli, Vakola, Santacr uz, P.O., Bombay. (Sai Sudha Jan 1945)

Statement of Sri Sankar Rao, D. Balvalli, Vakola, Santacruz, P.O., Bombay.

I was not a Bhaktha of Baba till recently. I had and have my Guru
Brahmananda Saraswati (whose life sketch is found in the number of Kalyan
kalpataru) and my Istha Devata Datta. My attention to Sai Baba was drawn
notably by my sister requesting me to escort her to Shirdi in 1936. I first
declined. Then in a few hours as I gazed on the figure of Datta at worship,
it changed to Baba's figure. I cleared it and again at it. Again it was
transformed. This was done thrice. I had not seen Baba's figure and so I did
not recognize it at the above transformation till I went to Dr.Thakkar's
place and found there the figure at my pooja. I inquired and learnt that it
was Sai Baba. So I changed my mind regarding the escorting of my sister. I
went and told her I would escort her to Shirdi. Again and again I visited
Shirdi. Sai Baba's pull was so great that in 6 months I came here nine
times. I came and read Sapthaha of Guru Charitra. After doing that, I slept
in front of the Samadhi Mandir, i.e. in the front verandah. At midnight, I
heard the footfall of shod person. I woke and found it was Baba walking on
to my bedside, standing and gazing at me. He had come from the Dwaraka Mayi
side. I was captured by his wonderful love and power in 1936. I had not seen
him in the flesh. Recently I consented to be on the executive committee.
Suddenly, by Baba's order Mr.Kharkar resigned by Baba's will I had to take
up this Secretaryship, though I have other honorary but exacting duties in a
Bombay Bank etc.,

II. An old Madrasi lady of 60 years was here on the 4th day of Punyatithi of
1943. Her son had been appointed for her service. In great agony of soul
she resolved to seek Baba's help. She went to a Railway booking clerk and
demanded a ticket for Shirdi, in ignorance of the fact that Shirdi is not on
the Railway line. The booking clerk a Sai Bhakta then gave her a ticket to
Kopergaon. Without knowing any language but Tamil, she arrived here and
occupied a room next to the Samadhi. At 8 P.M. in the dark, she moved on,
not knowing that the steps behind the Samadhi had no parapet wall, at that
time. She fell down on the stone pavement near the well. She was badly
bruised. Her knees and forehead were bleeding. She ran up to me and told me
in Tamil that "She fell down from the steps" I offered to send for tincture
iodine. She said "No". She added that when she fell in the dark, a male with
a lit lantern stood by her side and gently passed his hands over the hurt
body. She looked up and saw it was Sri Sai Baba himself. He told her that
she would be alright. She felt no pain and went to bed. Next morning, she
declared that Baba had appeared to her sleep and assured her that he would
take every care of her boy and that she need not entertain any fears.
(N.B. On enquiry we find this lady is Kamal Ammal of Matunga)

Satsang Chapter 20 :Sri_Sai_Sat_Charitra_Concise(Version)

Om Shree Ganeshaya Namah
Om Sai Ram
Chapter 20:::
Das Ganu's doubt
*When Das Ganu was writing a commentary in Marathi on Ishopanishad he could not grasp the core theme of the said Upanishad. When he asked Baba, He told him that Kaka's maidservant at Bombay would clear his doubts. Every one felt that Baba was joking. When Ganu returned to Bombay and stayed in Kaka's house, he heard next morning the servant girl singing thus: 'What a nice dark red sari! How beautiful is its embroidered border'etc. But Ganu saw her wearing rags and taking pity got her a nice silk half sari, through Mr. Pradhan. Next day she came in the new dress, joyously singing and dancing. Then on the third day she came back in the old rag as joyfill as the previous day. Das Ganu's initial pity on her became admiration. What a lesson she taught- Happiness or Sorrow depends upon one's mental make up. If some one asks why Baba did not give this advise Himself, we would reiterate that Baba did the right thing because Ganu got direct perception of the core theme of the Upanishad,
We too learn that: 'God pervades all and whatever is given by Him is for our good only. We should accept humbly His blessings.'

enjoying the fruit of our disobedience. You did the right thing, while we
made fools of ourselves."

Satsang Bhakta Leela Amrut by Das Ganu Maharaj

The Maharaj used to go round and get oil from the grocers, with which he
lighted every evening a number of oil lamps in the mosque and in the
temples -his daily 'Deepotsava'. One day, the grocers, tired of giving oil
gratis, decided to refuse as a body. They lied to him saying they had no
oil. Baba was surprised that the grocers found it so easy to tell him a lie.
People tell lies, degrade themselves and move away from the Lord, falling
eventually under the weight of their own karma. A liar is among the worst of
sinners. One who always tells the truth attains the Lord. Truth is the path
to salvation. Even penance and japa can not match it. Truth is the river of
bliss. One should stick to truth.
The Maharaj said nothing to the grocers. He went back to the mosque and
performed a miracle. He set the earthen lamps all round the mosque and put
wicks in them. The grocers, who had followed him, stood watching. "How can
the lamps burn without oil?" they said to one another. "The man must be
down-right mad; he is thinking of lighting the lamps without oil. Can any
sane man think of maternity for a sterile woman? Sure he is a mad man, a
leader of the ignorant."
Nanasaheb Dengale. a Sai devotee, did not agree with them. He said to them.
"You are all blind. Do not despise him like that. Shree Hari knows what
powers this man has. If a diamond lies in a heap of stones, would you call
it a stone? Keep quiet for a while and see what the Fakir does now. Don't
make hasty statements."
There was a little oil in Baba's tin can just enough to light one small
lamp. Baba put some water in it and drank the mixture.
He then filled the oil lamps with water and lighted them and lo and behold,
the lamps burned, as with oil. Awed, Dengale fell at Baba's feet. The people
of Shirdi seeing this miracle, began to wonder about Baba's powers. They
said that God himself had incarnated in Shirdi. They came all together, fell
at Baba's feet and said: We have sinned against you. Forgive us our sin. You
are our dear mother and we your children. 0 merciful one, please do not be
angry with us. You are Mercy, Knowledge, Virtue and Peace embodied in human
form" Baba then said to them, "Listen to me carefully. Act in such a way
that the Lord will be pleased with you. Never tell lies. Be truthful always.
Never deceive anybody. Spend your wealth on good causes according to your
capacity. You will be benefited and meet Narayan in the end. Remember my
words and act accordingly." Chastened, the people of Shirdi bowed down to
Baba and went back happily to their homes.

Satsang Make a Difference

Make a Difference

Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.
As he got closer he called out,"Good morning! What are you doing?" The young man paused, looked up and replied,
"Throwing starfish in the ocean."
"I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"
"The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."
"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"
The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said,
"It made a difference for that one."

Satsang Chapter 18 & 19 :Sri_Sai_Sat_Charitra_Concise(Version)

Om Shree Ganeshaya Namah
Om Sai Ram
Chapter 18 & 19 :::
Story of Smt.Deshmuk
Sadhguru first assesses the requirements of his devotees. As a loving mother forcibly makes her child consume medicine for its sound health, Sadguru also impresses on his devotees the dictums on spiritual progress.
*Mr. Sathe was somewhat popular at Bombay. In course of time he fell into difficult days and came to Shirdi. There he completed the reading (parayana) of Guru Charitra in seven days and on the seventh day Baba appeared in his dream. Next day Baba told Kaka Dhikxit that if Sathe did one more parayana God would be pleased and release him from the clutches of material word. As He uttered these words, Hemad Panth who was massaging the Feet of Baba thought: 'I am reading Guru Charitra for forty years in vain, while Sathe had the benefit in seven days. Alas! My seven years of Shirdi life has gone a waste.' Immediately Baba asked him to get up and go to Shama's house, get fifteen rupees from him as His dakshina and have a chat with him also. Hemad Panth came to Shama's house.
Shama told him that he was not having fifteen rupees and hence Hemad panth should take his fifteen prostrations to Baba.He then narrated an event about Baba.
"Once a lady called Radha Bai Deshmukh from Sangamaner came to see Baba. and then vowed not to take even water until Baba gave her a mantra upadesa. Since the lady started sinking I pleaded Baba to intervene and Baba called that lady and addressed thus: 'You are my mother. Please listen to me. My Guru did not utter any mantra in my ear. He shaved off my head and took from me two paise (faith and patience) as dakshina. Then how can I do it for you? I sought refuge in my Guru for twelve years. I had nothing but my Guru for meditation. He also did not expect anything from me. Mother tortoise nourishes its siblings with the mere thought of them though they are not by its side. Siblings too do nothing but thinking about their mother. Oh! Mother! Take me as the sole refuge of your thought, action and speech. Look at me with deep heart. I too will do the same to you. Do not attempt to seek any mantra or upadesa from any one. I speak only truth from this masjid.'
On hearing this story Hemad Panth's eyes were filled with tears. By then they heard the bells clang from masjid for noon aratfti and both rushed there. Baba asked Hemati Panth to recapitulate all that he heard from Shama. Then He filled his hands with sugar candy and said: " Worship Me in the form as you see Me day and night here. If you implant the theme of this story in your mind ,your life will be as sweet as these sugar candies.' At that moment the arathi was over and the assembled crowd shouted in ecstasy "'Jai Sal Ram". Let us also shout so.
*Baba used to say: 'No one including animals come to us without any link of previous birth. To those who come hungry let us offer food. Invite them lovingly. If some one seeks money and you do not want to give, then don't give: but do not bark. Let people say hundreds of things against you. But do not retort with bitter words. God alone is our only protector. None else. His wish alone shall prevail. Let the world go up side down. You remain steadfast in your ideals."
*Baba said that talking ill of a person on his back tantamount to a pig eagerly swallowing excreta. He used to advise each one in a different manner suited to that person.
Baba also advised not to take any body's service free.
