श्री साई अमृत वाणी एंड परायण ऑफ़ साई लीलामृत
१७थ् अप्रिल २००८
जै साई राम
At the beginning of the week Udi and Sindoor was oozing from the Photos and the statue of Baba and different swaroops of Maa. On Asthmi Mrs. Gupta collected all the sindoor. Udi continued to ooz. I had already sent the photos of different swaroops of Maa with Sindoor.
Following devotees participated in absencia in the recitation of Sri Sai Amrit Vani, Pooja, prayers to Baba ( Shirdi) and Prayan of Sri Sai Satcharitra/ Sai Leelamrit by reciting Sri Sai Amrit Vani at their places on 17th April 2008. However Mrs. Gupta prayed for all the devotees, who wrote to us. In this list only those devotees are included, who themselves recited or read/listen Sri Sai Amrit Vani at their places.
This Thursday the 17th April 2008 , we enjoyed the following Leelas of Baba (of Shirdi).
1. Udi continued to ooz from Sunday from the different photos and Statue of Baba. Hindi words `RAM' `SHAM' `OM' were formed with Udi on one photo in the mandir and another photo on the wall.
2. This Thursday also, the Holy Water started oozing from the Charans from Thursday early morning. A Thali was placed in the night of Wednesday itself, as water starts oozing from the early morning. Thali was emptied several times. The taste of water was similar to gulab jal and kewara mix. This water was also given to the devotees and again the Thali was filled with water.
3. Lap of Mrs. Gupta was filled with lots of Udi during the prayers. Udi was in the folds of the falls of the Sari. Her hands were also filled with Udi.
4. It has also become regular leela of Baba that many other devotees also had Udi on them, in their laps, their shawls or cloths.
5. Several devotees had Udi in the books of Sri Sai Amrit Vani.
6. On Thursday as soon as Bhog was offered, it was duly accepted by Baba. We noticed that the Bhog , which was placed before HIM was partially eaten. Part of Bhog was on the lips of photo and statue of Baba. Different items were there on lips in different photos. Parts of the remains in the box were given to the devotees who offered that item of bhog to Baba.
7. Some portion of the bhog were also found on the Statues of Baba, brought by the devotees.
8. The feeling of Presence of Baba was very strong during the recitation of Sai Amrit Vani, Pooja and Prayer.
9. All the boxes of Bhog, which were kept on the table were blessed with Udi.
10. Many photos, papers and documents etc. which were placed before Baba and the same were blessed without any delay.
Jai Sai Ram
Sri Sai Amrit Vani started at 11:05 AM. Noon Aartee, the same Aartee which is being recited in Shirdi, started at 12:00 Hrs. followed by brief Meditation and the prayer, Prayan from Sri Sai Amrit Nidhi was done. Mrs. Gupta offered prayers and thanks to Baba. Aatree of Maa was done. Finally distribution of Prasad and the water from the Charans. As usual some devotees talked about their experiences. If devotees find it difficult to recite from 11 AM, they can do it as convenient to them.
Next Sri Sai Amrit Vani and Prayan of Sri Sai Satcharitra/ Sai Leelamrit on 24th April 2008 will again be held at Sidhartha Extension, New Delhi. Devotees interested in attending it in person may contact on phone nos. 26346942, 9868966605 or 9312494767 only after 11 AM and before 8 PM (IST) on any day except Thursdays but no calls on Thursdays PLEASE. They should NOT bring any bhog with them and be in time. Kids are also not allowed in the hall. Mobiles have to be put on silent mode during the Pooja. Please also bring a small bottle with broad neck for the holy water.

Present Shirdi as said by Sai Baba a century ago

The following message has been sent to me by some Sai bhakth
Present Shirdi as said by Sai Baba about a Century ago:
In Shirdi village, when there were no arrangements for lights also, when Baba wrote the future of Shirdi as:
“Yahaa Bazaar Bharegaa, Bade Bade Log Aayenge, Subedaar Aayegaa, Fozdaar Aayegaa,
Naach Hogaa, Kanchan Hogaa, Mere Allaah Ki Kudrat Aabaad Hai,
Mungi Sarikhe Lok Aayegaa, Haathi Aayegaa, Ghodaa Aayegaa,
Bade Bade Khel Tamaashaa Hoyegaa,
Yah Mere Guru Ki Jagaah Hai, Yahaa Guruvaar – Sukravaar Dhoop Daalna Betaa,
Chaavadi Se Le Kar Sadak Tak Tak Mere Allaaah Ki Jagah Hai,
Zameen Ke Pet Mein Haddi Hogi,
Tab Bhi Meri Haddiyaa Logo Ke Saath Baate Karegi,
Meraa Dhyaan Karke Jo Khadaa Rahegaa,
Unke Saath Saat Samundar Paar Bhi Main Khadaa Hoon,
Koi Saat Tukade Karnewaalaaa Ayaa, To Use Se Main Daadha Se Nikaalnewaalaa Hoon,
Waisi Meri Allaah Ki Kudrat Hain”

Thses words of Baba would seem to be simple to the person hearing by ears only, but many learned men like Kakasaheb Dixit, Raosaheb Khaparde were unable to come out with the meaning of these words.

Meaning of Baba’s words:

In the year 1882-1887 A.D., Baba had said these words for Shirdi, which was somewhere in the darkness of some corner of Maharashtra State .
“Here multistoried buildings would be built, there would be a big market. Many rich men would come, many high post learned men would come.
Oh what should I say! God has not given introduction of his full grace yet (to Shirdi village).
Many people will flock like ants. Great kings (ministers and prime ministers) sitting on the elephants would come.
Son! Whosoever lights Dhoop on my Guru’s place on Thursday and Friday all his wishes and desires will be fulfilled.
From Chaavadi till the road, the place is of my Master.
Although when My Sagun Roop (Bodily form) will not be visible my bones would speak to people. They will give courage to my sad devotees.
I will run to My devotees even if they are across seven seas.
I will save My devotees from any type of difficulties and troubles.”
In this way Sai Baba had said about the future of Shirdi to Mhlasapati when they slept together in Dwarkamaee and Chaavadi on every alternate day.

Sai Baba’s each and every word has come out to be true and we can see how present Shirdi is flocked by people like ants. This only suggests that Sai Baba is Creator, Protector and Destroyer of this world. Though He is not with us physically, we can feel His presence not only in Shirdi but everywhere.

AMBROSIA AFTER MAHASAMADHI

Some Sai Bhakth sent me the following
AMBROSIA AFTER MAHASAMADHI
AMBROSIA IN SHIRDI
(A BOOK NEVER BEFORE)
DEDICATED TO
ANTARYAMIN SHIRI SAI BABA, SHIRDI
STORIES AFTER BABA'S MAHASAMADHI ON 15-10-1918
WRITTEN
BY
RAMALINGASWAMY, LIFE MEMBER
SHRI SAI BABA SANSTHAN, SHIRDI,
AT MUNJA BABA STHAN, SHIRDI
1. BABA PROVED HIMSELF THAT THERE WERE NO SISHYAS NO RELATIVES, NO INCARNATIONS NO SUCCESSORS AND NO HEREDITARY TO HIM
Shri Sai Baba, Shirdi took His Mahasamadhi on 15-10-1918. After His Mahasamadhi, Baba's Samadhi was not looked after in a fit manner upto 1922. Having seen the maintenance of Baba's Samadhi by the villagers, Shri Kakasaheb Dixit came to Shirdi, settled an office with a managing committee under Public Trust Act with the approval of the District Court, Ahmednagar. At that time, Shri Abdul Baba was performing Abhishek to Baba's Samadhi and the Maha Naivedyam food was given to him and he was allowed to take his residence in the room situated in the left side of the Samadhi Mandir. Shri Abdul Baba was the then only local leading devotee of Baba. He was then having about four or five thousand rupees of Baba's dakshina amount with him offered by Baba's devotees. Some well wishers of him induced him that he was the legal heir to Baba and that the formation of the Trust was against justice. Thereby Abdul Baba filed a suit stating that he was the legal heir to Baba, against the Trust Body in the District Court, Ahmednagar. The bellowed District Court by the grace of Baba passed orders that Abdul Baba has no connection of the maintenance of the Sansthan of Shri Sai Baba, Shirdi and that there was no heir or successor to Shri Sai Baba, Shirdi. On the strength of this order the Maha Naivedyam food given to him was stopped by the Sansthan and he was made to vacate his room in Baba's Samadhi Mandir. As Baba said, that He would be with the same power for one thousand years and looking after the welfare of His devotees, He himself proved that there were no Sishyas, no relatives, no hereditary, no successor, no rebirth and no reincarnation to Him.
Surrender Shri Sai Completely Stupendous Delectation and Deliverance be there
2. HOW SHRI MUKTHARAM, A STAUNCH DEVOTEE OF BASA FARED WHEN HE WANTED TO OCCUPY BABA'S GADI
Shri Muktharam was a staunch devotee of Baba. Baba gave a Kupni to him. He lived in Dixit Wada by keeping a Dhuni. After some days of Baba's Samadhi, he came and sat in Baba's Gadi in Dwarakamayee. As soon as he sat in Baba's Gadi against the wishes of the villagers he began to vomit blood and he was taken to his residence in the Dixit Wada. The devotees decided to take him to Kopargaon Hospital . Before the decision was taken with whom he was to be sent to Kopargaon, he died in Dixit Wada itself. His Samadhi is in Lendi Baug. This incident also goes to show that Baba was not willing to allow anybody to occupy His Gadi.
Surrender Shri Sai Completely Stupendous Delectation and Deliverance be there
3. BABA PROVED THAT THIS WAS NO REBIRTH TO HIM
When Baba was in flesh and blood He told that I would take rebirth. Having ground on this word of Baba, people in some places pose that they were Sai and their words were Sai's words. In 1943 a boy in Amravati was directing people that he was Sai Himself and that he earned a lot of money and began to utilize for himself. Then the people realised his deceit and found that there was not even a bit of Sai's cult in him and ignored him afterwards.
Secondly, another person near Madras began to tell people's aim in their mind for the present and the past (Mind reading) and began to earn in Sai's name due to his greediness. Once he told to the people "why are you people wandering for the dead Sai Baba. I am with life here". On hearing these words from him, people determined that he was not the rebirth of Sai Baba as Baba Himself told that "Saints never die".
Surrender Shri Sai Completely Stupendous Delectation and Deliverance be there
4. HOW BABA HADE MADHAVRAO DEHSPANDE (SHAMA) TO HAND OVER HIS PADUKAS, PHOTOS ETC. TO BABA'S SANSTHAN WHICH HE KEPT IN HIS HOUSE AFTER BABA'S MAHASAMADHI
After Baba's Mahasarradhi, Madhava Rao Deshpande alias Shama an intimate local devotee of Baba was managing the Dixit Wada. He was looking after the welfare of the devotees and resided in Dixit Wada itself. After the formation of Baba's Sansthan Committee the Committee demanded agreement (Baada Chitti in Marathi) from him for his residence in Dixit Wada. Madhava Rao first refused. But later, Shri S. B. Dhumal and Shri B. V. Dec intervened and Madhava Rao gave the agreement. After some days, the committee vacated Madhava Rao from his residence in Dixit Wada. At the time of vacating, he had taken away Baba's silver Padukas, Baba's Photos etc. to his house from Dixit Wada. After knowing this, the committee asked Madhava Rao to hand over the above articles of Baba to the Sansthan. He refused first. But Shri S. B, Dhumal went to his house with a big procession of bhajan, band etc. On seeing this procession Madhava Rao handed over all the above articles of Baba to Shri S. B. Dhumal. These Baba's Padukas were placed before Baba's Photo in Dwarakamayee wherein lakhs of devotees are taking darshan of the above Baba's Padukas now.
By reading these items (I) to (4) it is clear, evident and proved beyond all reasonable doubts by the grace of Baba that there were no sishyas, no hereditary, no relatives, no successor, no rebirth and no reincarnation to Him. Shri Sai Baba, Shirdi from His Mahasamadhi till date and even upto the year 2918 as was told by Him, He Himself is affecting the welfare of His devotees. Now let us read how Baba was effecting and is now affecting the welfare of His devotees.

In Sai's Proximity

Some Sa Bhakth forwarded me this message...I'm enclosing here for all the devotees
In Sai's Proximity
– Mrs. Mugdha Divadkar
BhAUSAHEB DHUMAL
ShrI Sakharam Balwant Dhumal, an ardent devotee of Baba, was a well-known lawyer from Nasik. His word carried considerable weight in government offices. He was a staunch social reformer. From 1917 to 1925, he worked as the first non-government chairman of district local board. Due to his pre-occupation with this chairmanship, he could devote limited time to his private practice. However, the government considered his this sacrifice and honored him as `Rao Bahaddur'. After 1925, Dhumal once again concentrated on his private practice. Due to Baba's blessings, his practice flourished in spite of being away from the field for 8 long years.
He was extremely pious. Before he became a devotee of Baba, he was a follower of Shri Gajanan Maharaj. He first went to avail Darshan of Shri Sai Baba in the year 1907. And he was at once got attracted with the radiant personality. In the first visit itself, Baba asked him for a Dakshina of Rs. 2. On receiving it Baba promptly returned the amount to Dhumal and said, "Preserve these ! Don't spend or give them away !!"
He was a close friend of Bapusaheb Butti of Nagpur. Therefore, soon Dhumal took Bapusaheb Butti with him to Shirdi. Like Dhumal, Butti also became an ardent devotee of Baba in the very first visit.
Once, Baba said to Dhumal, "Are Bhau, I take care of you at every moment. If I don't do so, I don't know what will happen." On one more occasion, Baba said to him, ``Bhau, whole night I was unable to sleep." Bhausaheb enquired "What was the reason Baba ?" Baba replied, ``The etire night I thought about you and only about you." Hearing these words of Baba, Bhausaheb was moved with mixed emotions – surprise, love and gratitude. He was sad that Baba was doing so much for a mere mortal like him. But, he was convinced that Baba was the only saviour Who will protect him from evil happening in future.
Dhumal's entire life was spent in his ancestral house at Nasik. Once, there was an epidemic of plague all around and on top of that he found a dead rat – a deadly carrier of a fatal epidemic of plague – in his house. He did not know whether he should move his family out of the house for sometime and save everyone's life. He sent his query in a letter to Baba, Who asked him to move into another house. He did accordingly. However, in this also another dead rat was found in the same night. Dhumal again enquired, whether he should leave the second house also. Baba replied in negative. Dhumal acted accordingly keeping full faith in Baba.
A few days later, some more dead rats were spotted at different places in the same house. Dhumal once again sent a letter to Baba and in the meantime, anticipating a positive reply, packed his belongings to move to a third house. Baba replied, "Why move ? Stay where you are !" Dhumal did likewise and continued staying in the house. Around him, he saw daily 14-15 deaths because of the epidemic. But, no harm came to him or his family.
In 1909, when Dhumal was only 36 years old, his wife died an untimely death. He was young, dashing and a well-known lawyer. His friends and relatives began persuading him to get married once again. However, Dhumal was firmly of view that such a marriage was possible only if permitted by Baba. A famous lawyer from Nagpur – Bapusaheb Kinkhede – took him to Baba to seek the permission. Baba just glanced at him and Kinkhede realized that the permission has been declined. Till his death, Dhumal adhered to Baba's wishes and remained single. He had earned a lot of fame and money in his profession. However, he gradually absolved himself of family responsibilities and turned toward Virakti.
After the death of his wife, Dhumal concentrated his energies on further studies in the legal professional and started planning for Barrister-ship. Bapusaheb Butti showed readiness to finance his study abroad as well as expenses of Dhumal's family in India. However, Baba declined permission saying, "Your Vilayat (England) is here only." Dhumal adhered to Baba's wishes.
This is an incident which took place in the year 1910. At that time, there were two warring groups in Shirdi. One of the groups targeted Raghuji Shinde (elder brother of Bhagoji Shinde, a Sevekari of Baba) and 4 others and falsely implicated them in a case of molestation of a Marwadi woman. Tatya Patil was confident that these people are innocent. But, several learned persons like Dadasaheb Khaparde, Kakasaheb Dixit, Raobahadur Sathe etc. felt that it was difficult to prove so.
Tatya Patil approached Baba and He advised him to go to Dhumal. Dhumal felt that a lawyer from Mumbai would be necessary to handle the case. However, Tatya pointed out that Baba had Himself suggested his name. Then, Dhumal studied the matter in detail and prepared necessary papers. He visited the British district magistrate at his residence and presented his papers.
The district magistrate said, "At a first glance, there appears to be a prima facie evidence. What do you say ?" Dhumal replied that "This case and its witnesses is a work of fabrication and is a result of enmity between two warring factions." The district magistrate enquired, "Are, you fully convinced about this ?" Dhumal expressed his utmost faith. The district magistrate issued orders releasing the persons. British district magistrate expressed interest in Sai Baba and said that he would like to visit Him.
The persons were released without discussing the matter with police prosecutor or without studying and reading any other papers. Dhumal knew, what power had come to the rescue of the concerned persons.
At the same time in Shirdi, Kakasaheb Dixit's 7 years daughter passed away. Everyone was making preparations for her funeral when Baba uttered, "Wait for a while ! I am going to show you a miracle." Everyone thought, there would be a miracle concerning the dead girl. However, as nothing happened, after sometime they went ahead with the funeral. Just then Dhumal reached there and declared that the innocent persons had been released. First, people found it difficult to believe the good news. But, after sometime they realized that this was the miracle Baba was referring to.
From 1930 to 1932, Dhumal worked as revenue member of Devas Sansthan. During that time he often travelled between Devas and Nasik. During the journey, he carried Baba's photos with him. His nephew, as well as the cook did not approve of this practice and expressed their displeasure. To take a decision on the matter, Dhumal – as was his practice – placed two chits in front of Baba's photo. The answer came, "Keep the photos always with you !"
One of the photos that Dhumal carried with him was given to him by Radhakrishnaai. Whenever he looked at it, he remembered Baba's sentence, "The entire night I thought about you and only about you."
Once, he was carrying this photo while passing from Dwarkamai. Baba called him and enquired, "What are you carrying ?" Dhumal replied, "You are here." Baba asked him to give Him the photo. Baba kept it in His hands for sometime and turned His gaze all over it. Baba returned it to him and said, "Keep it with you !" Dhumal always craved that Baba should give him a photo for performing daily Pooja. His silent desire was thus answered. He never parted company from this photo.
From time to time Baba gave a total sum of Rs. 67 to Dhumal. Then in 1918, He suddenly took back the money and demanded Rs. 7 more. Dhumal said, "I don't have any more money." Baba replied, "Borrow from someone else !" This was Baba's way of teaching Dhumal not to have false pride about money. Dhumal always remembered this lesson. After Baba's Mahanirvan, he even followed Baba's practice of collecting Bhiksha from selected houses.
In 1918, just prior to Baba's Maha-nirvan, Dhumal's sister-in-law became seriously ill at Pune. Dhumal took about Rs. 80 and set on his journey from Nasik to Pune. En-route he halted at Shirdi to avail Baba's blessings and Udi. However, Baba took away the Rs. 80 that he had and also denied him permission to go to Pune. In the meantime, Dhumal received a telegram informing him that the lady had passed away.
After a few days, Baba set on His last journey. Dhumal realized the reason for Baba keeping him back at Shirdi. Baba knew that the lady's death was inevitable. Further, if he had gone to Pune, he would have missed the few last memorable days in company of Baba.
After Baba's Mahanirvan, the district court appointed 5 trustees to administer the Sansthan property. After one of the trustees expired, Dhumal was appointed in his place. In his capacity as a trustee, he used his legal knowledge and experience to set the rules and bye-laws for the Shirdi Sansthan.
On Saturday 29th June 1940, Bhausaheb breathed his last at his own home. He always wished that at the time of his death, he should be in Shirdi. But, Baba desired otherwise.
